My sister transitioned in the early 90s and used to be a big supporter of Pride but now has distanced herself from not only Pride by from the LGBT community. I have a trans grandson, and a few years ago he was joining in 'Pride month' here in the UK ... this year he hasn't even mentioned it, or put the rainbow thing on his social media, etc. I think the genuine trans-sexuals are sick of the whole pantomime it's become, and it's making a mockery of what was a serious and long-considered life-changing decision for them.

My friend transitioned from MTF shortly after high school. This was 2001 so she didn’t have blockers or hormones in school. She had to have therapy for years to make sure she was actually trans. She thinks that the majority of trans kids now aren’t actually trans but, are just doing it for a trend. Which she feels is having a negative impact on the real trans community because, no one takes them seriously now.

Spot on. I think the entire gatekeeping concept stems from narcissism. I see it in some of the dumbest places, people just cannot stand to be excluded from anything, even if it has absolutely nothing to do with them. I’m not straight but I still think pride has become unnecessary, at least here in the US. Most people living in this country aren’t homophobic, and pride has just become companies virtue signaling and insufferable attention seeking influencers going on and on about how gay they are. And while I’m all for people exploring their kinks and the like, going around at pride events in fetish gear and almost no clothing isn’t okay. It’s just salting the wound. If you want to show off in a private space where everyone knows what’s going on and consents to seeing it then whatever, but don’t do it at a place where you know children will be attending. Maybe we should start by questioning this whole concept of "pride" and the use of the word. Why is sexual orientation or gender identity something to be proud of, and only when you don't fit the statistical norm? The whole notion of "pride" actually makes it seem weird, because there's something to prove. Sexual orientation and gender identity are something personal and intimate, which cant be normalized as long as you have to show the world you have "pride."

I'm a trans man from the USA, and it's just been really difficult being around people who are trans. I identify as a man, not transgender. Been on HRT for 5 years and hoping to get top surgery. I'm never going to get bottom surgery. I just don't relate to the "woke ideology" and felt really lost for a while. Thank you for your work.

Menopause cleared my skin up. Until age 50, I had teenage skin. Tons of acne. I hated it! Losing my period and acne is the best part of menopause. The worst part is weight gain.

Thank you for the tip on using soybean for skin care. I am going through the dreaded M at the moment. I have been using a progesterone skin cream on my face a couple times a week, but it's a bit pricey. I will be looking into soybean as a skin care ingredient as a replacement for the progesterone...

I don't like that some people and places treat it like Madi Gra. Im sorry there's no reason to strut about naked and risk traumatizing children when they claim that they are proud of who they are. Also, they seem to have no idea the hardships that some have or continue to endure due to predijuce

I'm 33 and my acne never went away. I have super dry skin yet I get so many pimples regardless of how I take care of my skin. I will definitely look into soybean skincare products to give it a shot since I know my acne is hormonal. (It went away on diane-35 birth control but that was banned due to a tendency to cause blood clots)

This year, pride month has been severely scaled back after how crazy it was last year. Funny because when the month began, most posts online about it were "Happy Pride month and &*#&# the bigots!" I think alot of people saw that alongside the fact that acceptance is down for the first time ever. They saw that the extremists are getting more extreme and people started being more humble as a result. The pendulum is swinging back the other way and people are seeing woke for what it is, good intentions corrupted by extremists who threw logic out in a quest to fix problems that aren't problems anymore.

@@seulgi3663 Here you go. Woke is when an airplane kicks a mother of a 1 year old off the plane because she used the wrong obvious pronoun for a flight attendant and was forced to wait at an airport with her monther and child while the luggage she had, which had her child's medicine, was gone with the plane. So therefore, that airline and employees pulled some dumb woke stuff that, as woke does, goes too far with their supposed good intentions.

I have a question: In a perfect world, where you haven't transitioned yet, would you have preferred it if there was a big breakthough in medicine and the treatments and surgeries for trans people became completely safe and successful (even bottom surgery)? or would you want someone to find an effective cure for body dysphoria so you could live happily as a woman? I'm really curious to know, if you had the choice, if you would have chosen to become ok with your biological body, or would you still want to be as close to a male as possible

Went to a Pride parade 15 years ago. Even then the oversexulization, near nudity, etc was too much for me. I can't even imagine what those parades look like now. I came out at age 16 while living in the conservative South. I am all for being out and proud - but my PRIDE does not include making a public spectacle of myself. If you like leather, BDSM, puppy play, etc, great. I don't engage in it but can see why some people find it hot. Please keep it in the dungeon though. We don't need to see it on the streets.

As a (90s baby) bisexual yes it has became too woke! June is my birthday month and I used to love pride month and my birthday were the same and now when I see a rainbow flag I can’t but roll my eyes. Like it’s too much, as I got older who business is it who you sleep with. So why do we have a month to celebrate that? So weird.
