This definitely has the Wow factor opening the front door! My favorite. The open floor plan is beyond belief - timeless in this design -it always gives the house a spacious look. Although a bit cluttered in the decorating, it does have a true sense of what the place would look like if actually lived in. Amazing kitchen, love the way the stove hood was hidden by being blended into the cabinetry! Love the back porch, I could actually envision a barbecue going on out there. The home has a solid and strong look to it. The family room was a total surprise!! I never suspected when you went into that room that it would be a family room. The attention to detail including the fabulous ceiling in that family room was to die for. The master bedroom's bathroom blew me away including the spacious shower with the much sought after rain forest shower head and huge closets. You are right - this is the one. Head and shoulders above many places you've toured. Absolutely breathless - a place I would be proud to own.

I wouldn't want a home with a built-in microwave. Microwaves tend to die after a few years if they are heavily used, and over time the technology and size can change, and the potential for the microwave to need to be replaced down the road, and then not be able to find one that can be easily exchanged for the dead one is very likely. With a microwave that could be considered a disposable piece of equipment in our time, I can't imagine anyone would want to have to turn replacing something like a microwave into a kitchen construction project.
@dalemaki76034 жыл бұрын
@@charmc4152 wow I never looked at it like that. I had one stop working after one year 🤔 thanks for the insight 👍
@charmc41524 жыл бұрын
@@dalemaki7603 When we bought our current home, it was new, and the builder had put in a combination wall oven and microwave, and we negotiated to have that replaced with a full size self-cleaning (both ovens) double wall oven because we like to cook. The builder agreed, and said he should have thought of that. (It turned out he should have thought of a lot of things, but I digress...) We were just going to designate a place on the counter for the microwave, but the builder suggested taking out one of the upper kitchen cabinets, and replacing it with a half cupboard with doors on top (similar to what you used to traditionally see over a range hood above a stove), but with a shelf below it for the microwave. This was a nice solution that kept the microwave off the counter, and you still get the feel of a built-in microwave, but we also had the same issue when we had to replace the microwave we had because not every microwave fits in that space, and we like a larger microwave. Another thing I'm not sure about wrt built in microwaves is what effect steam from the microwave might have on the walls and cabinetry they are built in to. A lot of the things we cook in our microwave produce steam as they are heated up, and the microwave has vents in the side or back to disperse some of the heat, etc., that builds up as food or liquids are heated. I don't know if built-in microwaves are designed to manage the steam/heat issue, or if what doesn't escape when you open the door just ends up being released into the cabinetry and walls the microwave is built in to. If the latter, it could set you up for warping of wood cabinets, possible peeling of laminate coatings if cabinets aren't painted or stained, and potentially even mold in the walls. 😱

I was there just today (9/20/21) and saw the home...IN PERSON! It's a stunner! The fridge is actually a stand up freezer next to a refrigerator that doesn't have a freezer in it. It mirrors a 'subzero' for a fraction of the price. It saves you LOTS of money when designing a 'high end' kitchen. I went to see it with my daughter. The floor plan is her dream. She has a business and would use the 'she shed' as her office/business space.

I love when the closet are NOT in the bathroom. My pet peeve about a house. Like if my spouse in the bathroom they need their private time in the bathroom too but then I have to go through the bathroom just to get my clothes lol

Ok, I stopped video as he walked into home to do what he said, telling him what I think. I think fireplace behind the door is poorly placed.

Needs a foyer i think. Then the fireplace would be ok maybe. 💕

Agreed. Should be on opposite wall, sofa turned to face it, then other seating to left & right of sofa. Why have the fp & tv at the front door where your view is interrupted everytime someone opens the door? It also doesn't give enough clearance from the door to the fireplace. Just awkward overall.

Except that microwave near the floor. That bathroom makes me want this home.
@ladybee8833 жыл бұрын
@@rriley4331 The microwave at knee height is a no-go, and that awful tub would have to go. I've always like the utility/laundry room next to the kitchen because those are the two rooms that I spend most of my time in. The pantry is nice, but could be bigger. I like the craft/sewing room.

This home is beautiful, but its always the same open concept. I would rather have a little separation between the living room and kitchen. I don't like the idea of unexpected visitors at dinner time seeing a messy kitchen as soon as they walk through the door. Then too, trying to have a conversation in the kitchen while someone is turning the TV volume up in the living room because we are being "too loud". We need walls. Also, bad place for the microwave. LOL! I just had to mention that.😂
@debracollins47564 жыл бұрын
Open concept is so over rated. I'm with you on a little separation. Cooking on the stove with the vent fan on causes the TV to be turned up louder, not to mention the smell.
@PN-sk3ve4 жыл бұрын
But... that's why there's a family room "separate" from the kitchen. People have options to go to another area like the family room to watch the TV 📺.
@tarawinter43584 жыл бұрын
@@darrellandsondraholden9457 he mentioned that he expected comments about the microwave being in a bad spot. I dont like where it is, so I jokingly had to mention it.
@tarawinter43584 жыл бұрын
@@PN-sk3ve the family room is also open to the kitchen in most of these homes. So it is not "separated" by a wall to dull the noise in the next room.
@babigyrl35604 жыл бұрын
@@PN-sk3ve no no no, the family room is where you set up all of the game consoles, so he can play with the kids (yeah right, it is him playing and telling the kids to watch LOL!), and then the living room is where I can watch all of my hallmark movies!!!
