I don't know about you but I'll listen to Cornell's music (Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog, his solo stuff) for the rest of my life, that's for sure.

Supergroups rarely live up to my expectations. Audioslave was the exception. I still remember hearing they had formed but heard nothing from them, then one day I turned on MTV and the cochise video came on...it started and I stopped what I was doing and then when Chris' vocals kicked in I went completely slack-jawed. Insanely talented, and seeing him live was the only time I've ever questioned my own sexuality.

Chris always has a great sound but I get so jacked up when he hits it high! Nobody does that so well!

I don't know what it was about the bands that formed from the Seattle scene, but they all formed great collaborations. Maybe it was the great chemistry they all shared. The guys from Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Screaming Trees never put out anything less than great while working together in my opinion. The guys from the Sunset Strip were too busy trying to screw one another over instead of understanding it was important for all their careers to be successful. Outside of Kurt Cobain the guys from the Seattle Scene genuinely seemed to care for one another. Chris carried this over to Audioslave and magic happened again.

Had he done it at this stage in his life it would of made a little more sense given the subject matter of his songs at the time...but after Higher Truth it seemed like he had risen to a healthier outlook in life. At the very least he left a hell of a legacy

¡Rock on!🤘
