Married Whitney Houston and they both got caught in drugs sadly. He lost his daughter with Whitney in 2015. Tragic..... LJ P.s. AND he lost his son last November. You can't make this up. Whitney was responsible for her own actions! She was doing cocaine long before her and Bobby got together; and he was into weed and alcohol before her! If anything, they got hooked on crack (or whatever) together and went downhill together! Don’t try to put all her misfortune onto him (and whoever else) like she was some angel who did no wrong! He was apart of New Edition and then went solo. All of them are super talented. Bobby was so popular in 1989-1990 with this album then had 2 songs in the original Ghostbusters II movie.

My vinyl of '89 was Tone Loc and Bobby Brown so tonight's choices have put a huge cheesy grin on my face. Try Blackbox, Ride on Time or Soul II Soul, Back to Life.

The running man, Roger Rabbit, Biz Markie...so much nostalgia with all the old school dance moves! ‘Don’t Be Cruel’ was the first single off this album and I also like ‘On Our Own’ , his single for the Ghostbusters II movie.

JTV, Bobby was a member New Edition a super group of the late 70's and 80's. Rap started getting mainstream following in the mid 80s so at this time many R&B/pop groups started to embrace throwing rap verses in their songs. With Bobby being of the same age of many rap fans it was a no-brainer to branch his music to that crowd. 3 former members of New Edition (Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell and Ron DeVoe) formed the 90s group BBD, who had a hit called "Poison", which blended R&B and rap. Rumor has it that Bobby's other band mate with New Edition, Ralph Tresvant, actually performed some of the solo vocals on "Every Little Step".

Bobby is still eating off. Don't be Cruel. It's amazing to me. I was 9 when this album dropped. 1980s in the building. We been rocking hard for a while now. Yes, Bobby was great. Still is.
