I Google my symptoms to try and figure out why they are occurring, and then try to reassure myself that I'm going to be okay. It doesn't help though, because I often find myself googling the same symptom looking for the same reassurance.
@jstep1002 жыл бұрын
I’ve found that googling symptoms only makes my anxiety worse. Google always seems to give me the worst possibility of what my symptoms could be from which scares the hell out of me. Lately I’ve just been trying to ignore my symptoms but that’s very difficult to do. I still constantly dwell on what it could be. I haven’t found the best way to deal with it but I’m going to figure this out and get past this. It’s very exhausting to constantly dwell on the possibility of having some kind of miserable health issue. Good luck fellow health anxiety sufferer. We’ll get past this shit.

When watching these videos, I get overwhelming emotions by both hope and dread. Hope and happiness that I don't have to feel this way for the rest of my life. But then the dread kicks in, making me feel like, what if I get stuck and can't get further to better myself. I already feel stuck and I wonder if it's an extra challenge I have to deal with because of my learning difficulties. I just really hope I can do this, because I can't stand feeling this way all the time.

Thank you Dennis for another great video. I can relate to everything you say because it rings true in my own life. Acceptance was my biggest hurdle because I didn’t want to face the truth. Your explanation about symptoms has been very helpful for me. Recognizing it (my symptoms) was my nervous system trying to keep me safe and on high alert has given me perspective. I’m in a much better place now. I want to thank you for helping me along my recovery. I am about to have a physical exam with my doctor. I have a lump in my armpit - not just a sensation but a NEW and PHYSICAL thing present. I feel normal otherwise (but I have always been a super super health worrier). I have been trying to exercise more. I did my best not to ask Dr. Google but I already know what it "could" be and it's quite scary. I know I have to get it checked out but it is debilitating constantly worrying about it and touching it as if it will magically disappear if I rub it again. Anyway just trying my best to not be consumed by it. Reassuring to see people discussing health anxiety freely with no judgements and offering ideas on how to overcome these fears. Thanks Dennis.

I came off antidepressants that I was taking for 2 years, they started to harm my mind but when I dropped them it would hurt more. So I went to the hospital and they put me on another antidepressant and an antipsychotic for anxiety and mood called risperidone. I stopped cause they were harming me, I’ve been 3 weeks off medication but I feel these ugly physical feelings in my head, feels like it’s going to start hurting uncontrollably. I felt these feelings while having an attack while on marijuana and paroxetine, my old antidepressant. I fear I broke my mind and I’ll never heal cause I haven’t felt much better, only the same or worse. I also have depersonalization, I’ve had it for 8 months now. I feel so hopeless and I don’t want to take any ssri’s ever again. I just want my mind to heal and stop these ugly feelings. It sucks and it feels like I’m gonna fall and feel so much pain any second, just like when I was high having an attack. Worst part, I had many and smoked quite a bit of times. I really feel these ugly physical feelings and it makes me want to give up. But I can’t and don’t think I ever will. But it’s hard, I hate it and I want to heal. I need to get closer to god as well, pray for me please, my name is Robert Tovar. I have been eating healthy and riding my bike daily. But these feelings feel like they change and get worse, I hate it 😔

Curiosity is to gain a deeper understanding towards them, revealing the mental, emotional, behavioral and other formulas we unconsciously and consciously use to bring about and maintain symptoms. Whatever you’re doing that isn’t helping your progress, change it. And if your mind tells you it’s too hard, understand that it’s not that it’s hard it’s just different, and it takes time to move from different to a new level of being.

I get like that too TJ Toys. I am in the medical field and often follow my analysis of the physical sensations into an ugly hole. Lately, I've shifted into less analysis and more communication with my body / subconscious. It definitely is a whole lot better. Moreover, I've been watching this channel's Image Cycling video daily. I'd highly recommend it for you.

Hi Dennis, So grateful for your deep insights. I’m working through the suggested links from the members lounge, and taking notes. I want to absorb and apply something from each before moving to the next video. I couldn’t help smiling while taking notes. Your explanations and direction are giving me confidence that I can actually expect to enjoy the FREEDOM I want and deserve to feel. Thankyou!☺️🙏🏼🌅💗💗

Oh my God feeling so blessed I am doing exactly all this work since a month with my symptoms and now I can shift my anxious moment into a pleasant moment quickly.and feels more rejeuvinated after a small win everyday and I am strengthening it by repeating . One question Denis since last week whenever I do meditation where ever I go in my imagination(beach,forest) I see distractions around me like a frog that jumped on face or a crab.this just takes my focus away from being relax.even if I try those things stays there. Why this happen and how to deal with it?
@TheAnxietyGuy15 жыл бұрын
Bn Tr Yes this was common during the initial weeks and months for me as well. The subconscious will create blockades between you and anything different in your imagination. This is to keep you in your anxiously imaginative state since it’s been so common. The next time that happens bring your frog swatter and keep swatting until it’s done. 👍

Does anyone else get what he said about the rising feeling in your stomach & head? I hate it when I feel woozy headed it freaks me out. I can just be sitting on the sofa & suddenly get the rising feeling in my stomach like when you go down a big hill, then I feel woozy headed & panicky, then it just vanishes but I am left with like what he mentions, plus low mood & stuff. I get this every day on & off. I hate health anxiety it’s horrible!

I get that feeling alot! Kinda butterflies in the stomach, and feeling on high alert like I could easily be startled...its all anxiety my friend, ride it out and embrace it, your subconscious will see there's no reason to do this anymore and it will subside. It will take time though, and you need to have courage.

Hey the anxiety guy I’m a 15 year old and I’ve been having nonstop anxiety problems for the past week and a half. Never have had this before. I was wondering what you recommend for me to do or how I should tell my parents because soemtimes they don’t believe the symptoms I have. I have chills and shortness of breath from anxiety.

I have the same symptoms, I sometimes feels like I have a fever even though my body temperature is fine. When I tell my parents they don't believe the symptoms. I guess that's just our Anxiety.

I’m on a miserable cycle of I wake up, put my best foot forward then the symptoms start, I try what I know to do, doesn’t work so I drink … Instantly symptoms go away but then the next day I feel regret that I turned to alcohol , the symptoms start again so I drink again. I know it’s wrong but nothing else seams to work!!!! Hate this shit!!!!!!
