I liked your mason jar visual! Unfortunately, the grapes though more healthy, would cost about $4.00 & the crackers would cost perhaps 25 cents. I'd rather eat grapes, but can't very often.

@@pamelaminor696 it’s so sad that unhealthy food is less expensive. But maybe you can cut back and save money in other areas of your life so you can buy the grapes vs the crackers. Life is all about the choices we make, and when it comes to health, I think spending a little more on the right food is the most beneficial. Just my opinion and the way I choose to live my life. Hi HM..so i gained a pound. Not happy. But wonder what im doing wrong...can you give me a sample menu ..? Any suggestions...i was so frustrated . i went to a diner with husband and a friend after work and i had a turkey club......with rye bread. Im goin to try this again ...joint pain got worse so i started taking heal and soothe...it helps. Have to take 1-3 tablets 3 times a day. Its natural....any ad vice?

The example of the oil was great! It's hard to visualize how much oil equates to a certain amount of calories, so when you held up the jar and said that the oil inside was 360 calories, it clicked. I got it. Now I can *really* understand how I was using too much oil (when I thought that I wasn't). The entire video was GREAT, but the oil... that's the blessing in the lesson for me. Very, very helpful!! Thank you!!

I just discovered you about 3 weeks ago, and you have been totally instrumental in my giving up oil. I'm one of those "fat vegans," and didn't understand why I gained the weight that I had lost (plus quite a bit more!) when I first went vegan over 5 years ago. After watching this video then (and today as a refresher), now I understand that I've been eating the "wrong" kind of vegan food! (I bought the starch book second hand on-line. My daughter thinks I'm crazy, since she's starch-phobic.) Thank you sooooo much! You are great, and I really "saw" the difference with your canning jars. Keep up the good work!

I'm watch your videos again and again sometimes, after sometime, it's useful to do so, just to remind things in case forgetting, or to keep me strong to keep on to the way I'm eating the last two years. I smiled when you said to those who did the fat diet and say the lost weight, " hellooo your here watching" haha. It takes time to take off all toxins which kept in the body so many years, but never gain weight back with whole food plant based diet. And it's soooo easy to fix something to eat quickly, without keeping yourself stuck in the kitchen, I always have budges of different kinds of beans and veggies in the freezer. Keep it going!!!!

I can't remember the last time I ate a white potato! For years I have erronously been trained to stay away from white potatoes - so I did. White potatoes were considered the "bad" starch and I am so excited to see that they are not. Thank You! Also, your hair is beautiful and I love the way you do your eye makeup!

Liked and subbed! I actually lost quite a bit of weight on my own as well just by changing my diet, no additional exercise. I lost about 40lbs over the past year and a half. I strived to adhere to a healthy vegan diet, ate vegetarian when I couldn't eat vegan, and ultimately cut 90-95% of meat and dairy from my total diet. Always room for improvement. Bottom line- it's the diet, it's the food. Decrease your meat and dairy intake. Increase your intake of fruits, vegetables, fiber, beans, legumes, etc and you *will* see results. Great job.

Hi Tia, so grateful I stumbled on to your channel! I've been Whole-Food Plant Based for a while, but since helping my husband make the switch, I just realized I had begun eating some of the "vegan junk foods" I was using to help him transition from Standard American Diet--(which had given him heart disease, diabetes, asthma, and severe obesity!--not a very good "standard" huh?) I had never even tried the "impossible" and "Beyond" meat substitutes previously until he insisted he needed something like meat on the plate. Then I began GAINING weight, though he was losing...and I have at least 40 lbs to lose. Very frustrating, but I'm so grateful to find your clear explanation of the mystery!!! I won't continue making that mistake. Thanks for the encouraging and enlightening videos. I'm going to get out my 32 oz. Mason jars now!

My life has been plagued by yo-yo dieting. I have been counting calories for two years now and lost 135 lbs finally. But I have had to be a slave to my phone and the app I count calories on. I don’t eat much meat anyway and eat a lot of vegetarian meals. The mason jar thing is a great demonstration.

Your story sounds exactly like mine. I just started the Starch Solution for Max weight loss one week ago and lost 1.3 kilos without restricting myself! This is unheard of for me. Thank U for this. Well done! I, too, follow calorie density after yo-yo dieting from the age of 14-64!!! Yes... it’s been that long & it has been more than destructive to my mental & physical well-being. Calorie density, combined with 18:6 IF, has freed me from my usual gain & loss cycle of 30-50 lbs. per year. I eat most of my foods in their raw state, but I am eating about 25% cooked too. I feel fantastic when eating proper nutrition & like crap when I don’t... it’s that simple! My body is counting on me to feed it properly & I will do that this very day, while I still can! Blessings 2U! ❤️

Hi Tia! When I first started eating this way I lost weight pretty fast, but lately it has been slow. I am down 90 pounds total, but I have a lot to go. I am thinking I might want to switch to more 50/50 plate. I love that you are working with Miranda and Taylor! So Exciting! I entered the giveaway! First of all woohoo!! That’s fantastic. And yes, weight-loss slowing is expected. The more we lose, the less calories we require so we have to start switching things up a bit. Totally natural. You’re doing amazing!

Apples are my favorite snack right now but I do have some walnuts and almonds at night to help me sleep. I eat minimal amounts of oil and I’m losing weight still but I’m much more conscious of how much oil is in my diet now. I use premise hummus with oil but I’m still losing weight consistently so I’m loving it! Majority of what I eat is Whole Foods but I do indulge in some processed food like dark chocolate and coconut crisps in small amounts. I seem to being doing fine but I think that’s largely in part to getting in touch with my hunger cues and getting a handle on binge eating!💯❤️

Thank you! How simple and I even knew all of this but the visuals made it all sink in!! I'm excited to get back to a vegan eating plan as I had horrible cravings and gained weight my first full year vegan but i ignored the no oil and ate way too many nut and seed based sauces along with vegan junk food!! Just did it all wrong....lol!!

Couldn't agree with you more! I've done WW about 5 times, an LA diet program (that went out of business.. With my money) and tried the Beachbody nutrition plans, plus many other odd diets. I could always lose 20 pounds without a problem.. Then I'd plateau and after weeks or months of trying to get off the plateau, I'd quit and go back to processed food garbage or fast food. Now I'm always full. I do eat some vegan processed food at times and when I fall off the wagon and eat some dairy I feel like crap 😒. I still have a long way to go and struggle at making food because I'm not good at it, but I'm not going to give up!

I tried also the keto/Atkin’s diet as well as WW. I was losing some weight and then gained it all back. Specially after months on keto I was feeling miserable and dreaming about starches. Very helpful explanation of calory density! Thank you! ❤️🌸
