I loved this video! I had been emailing Angela about a few questions I had. This video was great! I am kind of realizing that what a lot of us are missing are healthy communication skills... some of us ignore, get angry, and some of us lecture LOL. Either way I think it just goes back to having no idea of how to communicate our needs. For me personally more videos about communicating in feminine ways would be amazing because it is just so helpful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love all of your videos Helena! You are so beautiful and all of this just helps so much ⭐️

Thank you, Helena, for this! I’ve been seeing a guy for 2 months (exclusive 1 month). He made plans with family on Valentine’s as opposed to seeing me which was disappointing but I didn’t want to make a big deal since it’s still in early stages. My bday is next week and he hasn’t brought it up either so I’m on the fence with how to move forward. I feel I need to uphold my standards but unsure how to convey that without sounding accusatory. Thank you ❤️

Hi Staci. I would say to trust your instincts first. Valentines Day and your birthday may be early indications of the underlying truth that you are not a priority. If you believe you are a priority and he has been consistently showing up for you, then I believe those other things like forgetting an anniversary or birthday might be excused and something to work through with him without jeopardizing the relationship. 🌻😊

It's still early in knowing each other. Just go ahead and make plans with others and enjoy yourself for YOUR birthday. He may try to do something with you or not. But still enjoy your day.

Staci Sisco it’s ultimately an integrity thing. Not just with him, but where you stand with yourSelf. If he’s not going to make time or include you in holidays or important days, then get off the fence & walk away. He’s already showing you where he places value on the connection.

If his work schedule is “so crazy” that HES not available “until last minute”, that’s not even something I would give much effort to. I did that once before & it ended up being a waste of time & shows where he actually places value on the connection, which is not much. Like you’re only good for a last minute sort of thing. Especially when you make yourSelf available last minute, then he’s learning how to treat you in the future. I don’t even mean just for sex, but in general. Example... This guy worked literally 5 minutes up the street from where I live. We’d known eachother for over 3 years & he messaged me mid afternoon one day if I wanted to meet for coffee- the coffee shop is literally right across the street from where I live btw. Well we met up, had a great one hour convo, he told me he had to keep it short, because he had to get his kids. Then when I suggested we should meet up again it was like “well I’m not always able to take time off my work schedule like this...” ... there were always some sort of strategically placed excuses. He has shared custody, so it was like one week he had them, the next his ex wife would. As a parent myself, I’m not judging, but I also know from social media he regularly made time to go out & do things, meet people so I know he was using his kids as an excuse. If you feed in too much to what’s always good for them (supposedly) then you’re hanging off of THEIR timetable, without giving respect to YOUR OWN time & energy. Then it creates frustrations, resentment, all sorts of things. We ended up having a not so good ending, but that’s because where he wanted to take the connection, caused me to realize how I was breaking integrity with mySelf & his behavior after we got together was really out of place. Found out later why specifically, & I don’t need someone like that in my life. It was a good thing though, because I was in the process of understanding & creating my own boundaries over several months at that time & id never given attention to the integrity aspect, but this experience just triggered me into being more aware of it in a way I never had. Some experiences with the opposite sex are purely lesson based. If you gained awareness of your own boundaries & integrity, & they don’t like that or want to play games with it, then clearly they don’t have any themselves, once you draw the line. Especially if they’re being sneaky or making excuses to you, it means they’re used to stringing women along & you’re probably the first who drew the line in a way that they’re not used to, so it wasn’t comfortable to have a woman stand up to them in that way. There’s also a difference between a woman who creates constant drama as a result of not liking how she’s being treated by a man, but tolerates certain treatment anyway because she’s insecure & codependent vs a woman who stands firm in what she’s about & not & is ultimately willing to walk away as soon as those boundaries are being disrespected. I’ve been on both sides, so I can understand the contrast there...

Hello Helena, my boyfriend and I are currently in college and he’s really busy pretty much most of the week. There have been a few weeks recently where we hung out once a week and he would come over around 8pm and then leave the next morning at around 1. I really feel like we are not spending enough time together but I understand that he’s busy. I sometimes feel like he could be making more time for us to hang out and in the day time but a lot of times it’s last minute and I usually accept it. I want him to actually prioritize spending more time with me and making me feel special not just a last minute hangout at night and then leave when he wakes up. I feel like I can’t really say this to him because then I sound selfish that I’m demanding his time when he has sports practice and schoolwork and races to do. What should I do?

Helena what do you do when the man temporarily honors what you’re asking for but then repeatedly slacks off? At what point should you take further action? We are long distance and I’ve asked for more communication and used your tools and they work beautifully but then after a couple of weeks he reverts back to the old behavior. I remind him again and then the same cycle repeats. We are engaged.

He says he loves and misses me and I love him. I have mentioned repeatedly that I need more consistency and he said he would make it right but it hasn't happened. Shall I just totally stop responding when he does text (I feel like an afterthought at this point). Please tell me what to say or do at this point? Thanks
