In the classical theory of Fayol we are be oming flamboyant while discovering all the characteristics of a manager,the Herzbergs intrinsic and extrinsic comes under the performer while providing assistance to the team or being treated as a junior coder. I personally couldn't boil it down to one concept. He has an entire book on management so it's hard for me to pick a main concept. However, I have a related video called Classical Management Theory that you could watch that compares and contrasts Fayol to some other theorists. That might help.
