I know this is an old video, but I thought I'd share a couple thoughts. First thought is...yes, it is the long wheelbase version of the S-Class sedan...but...ALL US Mercedes S-Class sedans are long wheelbase. Mercedes does not sell the short wheelbase version in the US. That is only for Europe and Asia markets. Second thought is...The car doesn't move forward at first when you go into Drive because the electronic parking brake is automatically engaged when starting or when in Park. When you manually hit the gas pedal, it disengaged the electronic parking brake and then the car will move when you lift off the brake without hitting the gas pedal just like you would expect it to. You could also do this by manually disengaging the parking brake. It is a lever(?) on the left side under the dash (near where you would find the lever to open the hood). I found this safety feature beneficial when I started teaching my daughter, who just turned 16, to drive in my Maybach. Third thought...the car has plenty of power. Sure, it is no rocket. It is no sports car, but it can accelerate fast enough for almost all occasions. The car gives what it is supposed to give...luxury and comfort. If you want performance and luxury, then the ideal car would be the S63 (or a Bentley Continental GT). Fourth thought...always be careful with older Mercedes. The vehicle may have depreciated but it is still a $100k+ vehicle. That means cost of ownership is still like a $100k+ vehicle. The car may have depreciated...but parts, maintenance, repairs, and labor do not depreciate. If anything, those go up over time. Lastly, I see that you currently have a 2016 S-Class sedan for sale. It has the good color scheme (black exterior, macchiato beige interior). It is not 4MATIC (AWD) and doesn't have some of the nicer options but is still a great car.

Hope their saving more than just a little to many of these used ones are overpriced getting harder to find a good deal .I got one a 2017 for 35 grand low miles loaded long wheel base 550 with night vision rear seat package panel heating massage seats and so on.
