I saw the best post I shared today - "Asking when straight pride month is, is like asking where the non-disabled parking spaces are"
@Allie3000-uu6jc5 ай бұрын
Can confirm that some people will use the disabled parking spots because they will be “real quick” or dropping someone off at the front without a placard. So your comparison is spot on that some people will feel left out if they are not fully accommodated… even if there is a whole parking lot or 11 more months that doesn’t pull attention away from them.

So pride is a disability? ok, if you say so
@vivipettiss58325 ай бұрын
Ehh, I don't completely agree with this. Some people do need straight pride - specifically trans straight people, who ARE sometimes oppressed. For example, a trans woman dating a cis man might be told she's actually a gay man and her sexuality as straight isn't valid because of her biological sex. I don't think we should completely shut down the idea of straight pride - only the people who are asking about it purely to put down queer people. In my opinion, any sexuality or gender that is being discriminated against has a place at pride, including straight people in certain scenarios.

My uncle got himself uninvited from my wedding by saying that the point of marriage was for us to have babies, and sent me a huge letter on how to be a good submissive wife. I'm agender and asexual, soooo, wasn't relevant to begin with, but was just so gross. Didn't want him there on our day
@starscreamthecruel80265 ай бұрын
So your wedding was based on romance then? Hey great that you found something that works. For some reason, it never occurred to me that Asexual And Agender individuals would want to be married, that's all. According to a former friend I cannot ID as female (despite it being VERY obvious physically) because I don't behave like one, I should be NB but then I get confused, do you mean NB or Agender? If I get to the end of my cycle, I might become a triple AAA battery instead of a double AA which would probably confuse him even more.
@j.apenrose78965 ай бұрын
@@starscreamthecruel8026 Yep, we're both sex-repulsed asexuals, and got married cos we have romantic attraction! I'm technically gender fluid, and tend to stay out of the binary spectrum. So, I identify as non binary sometimes, agender other times, and sometimes bigender. No one but you can know your gender identity, appearance aside. If you feel like you are a woman, you're probably a woman. Trust me, I certainly don't feel like a woman, that's how I know I'm not. But if you feel like maybe you don't have a gender, or you have a seperate gender, or maybe that you're like a woman, but not fully, you may want to start exploring labels like agender, non binary, or demigirl. Good luck, friend! 💜

Autogynophiliia is just so funny to me, 'cause it really comes down to just feeling good with how you look. "Oh you can't be a real women 'cause you like how you look, that's disgusting, how can you feel good with yourself and your body..." :P I wonder if they even know what this word means or are they just throwing it everywhere they can because they heard it that one time and it sounded "smart" to them, like "long, hard, latin word must be true" (and yes, I'm not sure whether I wrote it right or not, but I don't want to check 'cause I don't need more transphobia now :P) And also, I really liked that part with the Jelly Roger, like yeah. I really like it when straights are trying to make us look bad or to shame us for something and they're doing it in the best way possible by making us sound/look cool af :3

I get a kick out of it because of all of the times I spent tried to find any information on the opposite (autoandrophilia) because I wasn’t ready to admit to myself that I’m nonbinary. The less funny part is that if made me reject any gender questioning feelings as a product of a fetish, instead of recognizing that the so called paraphilia was actually me experiencing my gender in the only way I allowed myself-hidden away from everyone and ashamed. That’s the game they’re playing.

It's a very convenient way of shutting down the discussion, and the really clever thing is that it works on people from all over the political spectrum, because no one faction has a monopoly on being icked by sex. All you have to do is say "This person does weird sex" and whether it's true or not, that's enough to make a lot of people go "Well then they must be bad". And it works in reverse too - if you've already decided that someone is bad, and you're reaching for a reason to justify it, going, "Well, they must be a pervert who's doing this for weird sex reasons!"
@FrozEnbyWolf1505 ай бұрын

The main point that some men seem to miss in the whole "a man or a bear" argument is that most women don't choose bear thinking they would feel safer or they would leave unharmed or that they would have a better chance taking the bear down in case of an attack, most women pick bear knowing well that if the unfortunate attack happens that would be it. The bear would k*ll them and that would be it. Men are the ones who k*ll for satisfaction and/or their sick fantasies, men are the ones who stalk with intention of making women fear for their lives, men are the ones who do the SA while women are alive, in pain, tortured or even after they're already dead. Bear would do none of that. Bear would just simply k*ll them and even if the death is painful, the bear did it out of fear or for food. So yeah, to dumb it down for the "not all men" guys: WOMEN WOULD RATHER BE MAULED BY A BEAR THAN BE IN YOUR CLOSE PROXIMITY WITH YOUR SICK BRAINS. (Which the guys in the post proved to be completely justifiable.)
@Jackie_XIII5 ай бұрын
With the bear you are aware of the danger and know to keep your guard up And know that bears don't just attack for the fun of it. With a man you never know if the person you're dealing with will actually be a danger until it's too late sometimes with severe or deadly consequences.
