For me, the best part of the video is watching you hook up all the pedals. No one ever really shows this and it’s really the most difficult part of running a WDW setup. There are diagrams, and “talk throughs” but seeing someone actually go through the process is nice! Thanks for taking the time to show that part. Liked/subscribed

The Red Sea is such a clever name. Not only because it splits the signal, but bc it's wet dry wet. Wet on the left is water, wet on the right is water, and dry down the middle. There's no name that's more perfect. I wonder how long it took to come up with the name?

Haha for real. I thought the same exact thing

I might actually attempt wet/dry/wet with that pedal, the sounds are beautiful and it doesn’t look like an overwhelming set up with problems waiting to happen.

Yeah...pretty straight forward especially with the diagrams

I love how the dry signal remains so clear with the effects! Strymon does a similar thing with their internal routing. It’s like you can Strymonize any effect now!

Are you only using 2 channels going to the mixer?

I have a Mosquito mixer, but this thing is stereo so plenty of major advantages!

Can route this w/d/w with just the UA Dream and my dry signal and my strymon trifecta for my wet signal? Again with just the one amp?

Price is just insane - the truth is that any 30$ mixer will do exactly the same

Bought one and it worked great for a couple months and then stopped working. I opened it up and there are plastic parts everywhere. One of the input or output jacks stopped working due to a physically broken non-standard plastic component inside the pedal. The most abuse it received was plugging and unplugging things. Oh well.

I’ve been thinking about building something like this for the past 6-8 month for my Eventide H9’s in the HX Stomp loop (there’s a kit company here in the UK that does not utility circuits as well as actual pedal circuits). This unit would save me the hassle of figuring what I need, buying all the circuits/enclosure/pots/switches and building it (and probably messing it up several times)…. Only thing I don’t like about this is all the jacks on every side. It could’ve been in a taller enclosure and had all the in/out on one side. I know that’s purely aesthetic but everything doesn’t have to be “tiny” (also my gripe with the HX Stomp)

$300? For a mixer? $300?

So… it’s a GigRig Wetter Box.
@AlecBourneMidiMadScientist2 жыл бұрын
A bit less actually, I’m still trying to get my head around it’s wiring, but the wetter box also has extra gain adjustments and exp pedal control over blending. And costs quite a bit less ( if you can actually still find one - out of stock direct from gigrig )
@HeyWorshipLeader2 жыл бұрын
I think so
@AlecBourneMidiMadScientist2 жыл бұрын
@@HeyWorshipLeader so kinda and kinda not. Need your feedback on this as the jet box has dual phase inversion both side A and B. The wetter box doesn’t, but it does have gain per side, and an exp input to use as well as the big main knob. I reckon that is something junior should look to add in future versions. This pedal would be sooo useful, but giving it Exp in would allow you to use it remotely, not midi but still would be a hugely useful thing to have.
