@z0ktwf6807 ай бұрын
i do agree, but i think the focus should be more on deadlock than other titles, for what it seems valve dont care right now of the other games because high priority its working on deadlock (as they are on closed testing). they wouldnt like the new game would flop as the time and money invested on it going on waste because community (i hope) banded togheter against the game because decide to neglect the other titles.

I think the complete apathy people have towards it will be enough of a boycott. Artifact already flopped hard, so much that they went ahead and basically released it for free after the whole shit show, and proved that just because Valve made it doesn't mean it is guaranteed to sell well. Deadlock looks to be exactly the same, especially given that it is already shaping up to be a trend chasing live service wet fart of a game that even the beta testers are losing interest in fast.

Yeah man that's it, that is it. TF2 is suffering with bot and cheat issue since 2016. By 2024, Valve has made 2 games, a VR , a game engine, and a handheld console. If he had assigned just one employee to produce a solution to this problem on a half-time basis, radical solutions would have been produced within 1 year. Campaigning on social media and commenting negatively on the game, such as Sony or CDPR, is of no use to a company like Valve that lives off of commission. As you said, not making in-game purchases or not playing the game for a while would be significant actions.

@@TheGreatOne-gw7xh if tf2 where to get shut down that would be major, people have spent hundreds of dollars on this game. and on top of that, it would piss off all the people that are involved in the CS2 and DOTA2 economy's because it shows that at anytime, the players inventory's can be erased, keep in mind that people of thousands of dollars worth in items in there inventory's, and tf2 plays a major role in the over all economy of steam(witch includes TF2, DOTA2, and CS2) so seeing that at anytime these people's items could be deleted would absolutely crush the steam economy, making people realize that the hundreds of dollars they spent, was a massive waste. so yes if TF2 where to shut down then there would be literal riots from not only TF2 fans, but also the fans of CS and DOTA.

Valve is steadily losing it's fans support and will keep doing so as long as they don't solve this issue. CS2, L4D, Dota2 players are in the same boat. Deadlock is dead on arrival if they ignore this. The only way to affect a company that won't listen is to not support them until they change.

Let's be real for a second. If TF2 becomes less profitable and it starts looking like people aren't "enjoying the game", then option 2 is extremely unlikely and at best, they just won't do anything, at worse, the official servers may get shut down and/or the game may end up behind a paywall, in short, they'd remove anything that costs them money when it comes to the game, aside from the game itself (as, with community servers being a thing, I do not believe they would even consider entirely removing the game from steam). While I do hope for the best, I am not at all optimistic about how the fixtf2 movement is going.

That's just one of many possible outcomes. I don't believe Valve will shut down TF2 like those other games because TF2 has an in-game economy. I wasn't using slurs against Deadlock. I was pointing out how Valve has so many projects going on while having very few employees, which means Team Fortress 2 gets very little attention. Not only that, but all of their games with VAC suffer from cheating in one way or another. They really need to either expand their team by hiring more people to maintain their games or stop releasing new games when they can't even handle their current ones. That's where my criticism comes from. I personally don't find Deadlock that appealing, but we'll see when it comes out. I just don't have great hopes for it.
