My immediate response to what he said, had I been in her position, would have been a VERY pissed "Important students?! ALL STUDENTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IMPORTANT IN A SCHOOL, YOU JOKER-FACED, INCONSIDERATE, NEGLECTFUL, PITIFUL EXCUSE FOR A TEACHER! Do you have ANY FUCKING CLUE HOW WORRIED I WAS I WOULDN'T GRADUATE?! I DIDN'T EVEN THROW A PARTY BECAUSE I WAS TOO BUSY PANICKING ABOUT IF I WOULD GRADUATE, AND BALLING MY FUCKING EYES OUT AT MY FAILURE DESPITE MY HARD WORK, AND YOU HAVE THE FUCKING GALL TO TELL ME AFTER ALL MY HARD WORK WHICH YOU FIRST-HAND WITNESSED TO GET MY ASS HERE, THAT I'M NOT CONSIDERED IMPORTANT?! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH OF A FUCKING DISGRACE TO THIS ALREADY FUCKED SCHOOL SYSTEM YOU ARE THAT YOU COULD HAVE LET A STUDENT THAT GRADUATED FAIL, AND NEVER ATTEND ALL BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T THINK THEY WERE IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO CALL IN A TIMELY FASHION?! DON'T, YOU, EVER TELL ANOTHER FUCKING STUDENT THEY AREN'T IMPORTANT, BECAUSE WHAT YOU SAID IS JUST THAT, AND THAT JUST SHOWS THAT YOU HAVE NO FUCKING RIGHT TO EVEN TEACH HERE! I HAVE SO MUCH FUCKING REASON TO TAKE YOUR ASS IN AVERY DIRECTION THAT'LL FUCK YOUR CAREER AFTER HOW FUCKING WORTHLESS TO THE SCHOOL SYSTEM YOU'VE PROVEN YOURSELF TO BE!" I could probably continue past that since my one skill is endless rants, and rambling, but that's already a lot more than anyone is probably willing to read. Point is, that fucking piece of shit should have his job ripped from him for what he said, saying that any student that made it to graduation isn't important, let alone how literally last-fucking-minute he was in letting her know she was graduating to the point she couldn't even celebrate with her friends, and family. She was denied so much from that, and I honestly want to know who he was so I can beat the ever-living shit out of him with my car at law-breaking speeds.

Normally i wouldn't suggest this but you should say the name of the school because it sounds like a huge scam that are setting up future grads to fail. from what you've said they don't seem to have no intention of changing their practice either that is unforgivable. For putting you and past and future students through this they don't deserve the respect your giving them and thats something i can respect. Parents should be aware of this especially because of the amount of money they are paying for shitty education and the emotional abuse.

I agree with your point about rich school. I go to a rich school and everyone has to play soccer. Everyone. Or you don't matter. The teachers literally tell you every excursion quote unquote "you are walking, talking, advertisements. You do not matter unless you are behaved and dressed properly." My school makes campaigns about helping kids with depression and anxiety when they can't even spot someone obviously having an anxiety attack. I kid you not, I was upstairs and about to go to class and had an anxiety attack with teachers all around and students. Numerous students noticed and I literally had multiple anxiety attacks that day, in class or infront of teachers and they didn't give a crap. The school is a Greek school and says "we are culturally diverse, and are welcome to every school's students!" This school had a primary school tied to it, so all the teachers assumed you came from there and spoke fluent Greek. The way all of them will greet you is "Oh! What's your name?" And then say "How do you say that in Greek?" And in every class they all assume you went to the Junior school and said "Oh, did you all learn how to do *insert random skill from class here* in the Junior school?" Everything that matters to students is tiny and the things we don't need to be big are massive. We have massive classrooms, and a tiny library and a small canteen. The school count give a crap about any form of art, like drawing or painting, music, electronics, etc. and are only used in electives once you reach your 9th year (freshman). Everything they have is dedicated to he older kids and I'm honestly sick of it. A classroom bigger than usual dedicated to year 12s? On it. Separate teams? Of course! You want to not get in trouble for kicking a student's bag ruthlessly for 5 minutes after the opposing team in handball scored a point? Yeah, sure, were not sued for that so go ahead. The junior teams want more sport practice because it gets cancelled 75% of the time? Go screw yourself, we'll hold our tests and excursions when we want. It's so stupid.

Just curious, do you go to some sort of charter school? I go to a Turkish sponsored charter school and often the employees (many who are from Turkey) mistake non-Turkish students for being Turkish and generally ignore anyone who's not Turkish. My school is only concerned about reputation and doesn't put ANY funding into anything other than education :') They jump to conclusions all the time, put kids into in-school suspension for the tiniest things (and sometimes do it when the person hasn't done anything!) and everything is just kind of a mess. (And as being a Greek child, I can only imagine how it must be to be in your school.. my family really loves to pound into me how important the history of Greece is, ancient civilization, etc eye etc . I *am* proud of my heritage, but it can be overwhelming.)

So this actually reminded me of something that happened my senior year at my highschool. I went to a 'rich kids school' as well, but my family was INCREDIBLY poor, so I didn't matter much. But something that happened with all of the AP students is that they were cheating, which the teachers didn't care about, however, they all decided to try and cheat on their FINALS, which should have suspended them and caused them not to graduate, which was GOING to happen, but it didn't because one of the teachers whose daughter was caught CHEATING with that group, spoke up and was able to convince the principal to let them RETAKE the tests. If that were me, or any of my friends, we would have lost our credits and not graduated, no second chances or anything. I wish I went to a poor kids school, I HATED rich kids schools, the only teacher that I LIKED was my psychology teacher, and that was because he viewed everyone EQUALLY, never took bribes and only judged you based on your WORK and how you behaved in class. I still respect him to this day because he failed one of the super rich kids my senior year, and refused to take a five thousand dollar bribe (Which he told our psychology class about) because he said "Just because you can pay for it, doesn't mean you can earn it."

My older sister had a (middle school!) teacher whom pretty much every girl knew was a pedo. He didn't get caught having sex with any girls, thank fuck, but it was pretty obvious that he was using the weird ceiling mirror thing that science classrooms have to look at their breasts. My sister said that if I got him as a teacher, she would come to my school and beat him.

My algebra teacher was just absolutely fucking terrible. She was exactly like Ms. Bella, except with a crippling amount of homework that was basically impossible to do within the given time. If she liked you she would just turn your missing homework grades into a low A. Thankfully I was her favorite because I actually tried to complete my work, so she turned my 6 zeros into As. I graduated with a 97, but everyone else got 50s and 30s. I'm glad that she passed me, but it feels so unfair. It infuriates me. It's not fair that my friends who tried to do their best were failed just because the teacher didn't like them as much. This teacher never actually taught us, nor knew what she was supposed to be teaching. She would be watching KZbin algebra lessons while trying to "teach" us.

Not even in high school, I had a terrible teacher. I was in seventh grade, in a language arts class, and the teacher I had could probably be considered borderline bipolar. One moment she would be praising a student and a minute later she'd be yelling at that same student about a minor mistake. One day, in her class, I was having trouble understanding one of the topics, so I went to ask her about it. She explained the topic in a way I didn't understand so I asked her if she could simplify the explanation. She blew up at me about how I didn't know anything and how I was just a terrible student in general. (I was actually one of the few students in her class that had a passing grade, so that last part she said didn't make sense). I went back to my desk and hid my face as I cried because I didn't want the other students to see me like that. When I went home that evening, I told my dad about everything and he said he'd take care of it. The next day, I walked into her class and she had me come over to her desk and she started talking to me about how "I didn't need to get the principle involved" and "how I was such a good student, nothing could ever go wrong with me", she was trying to make things seem all peachy and nice and happy. Turns out, the school had threatened to fire her if she didn't improve her relationship with her students. So, really, she put up disguise, pretending to be all nice to me and supporting of me for the rest of the year. At the end of the year, I was giving out chocolate to my teachers (I love doing teacher gifts because I want to have good relationships with my teachers) and I gave chocolate to my terrible teacher. She's allergic to gluten. Take that, ya a-hole

I grew up in a low-income area, so my primary school and high school (PP to Year 10) were both kinda poor. I liked most of my teachers, but there were a handful that I absolutely hated. The Vice Principal at my primary school was basically the Wicked Witch of the West. I remember she always wore nothing but black, even on 40 degree days in Summer and was ironically called Mrs. White. Most kids were scared of her and she kept coming up with bullshit rules, like at recess and lunch we all had to sit in the undercover area, eat our food and wait for ages to be dismissed so they could make sure we didn't litter, and if we left before then, we got detention. It was also this teacher's idea to have all-boy and all-girl classrooms. I was in high school by then, but my little sister got bullied so much in the all-girls class. There was also this old dude who was subbing my class for a bit in Year 5? who gave me detention because I didn't do my work properly or some shit?? The sports teacher there was the worst, though. I called her Ms. McDouche. At the back of the school is a football oval, and around the perimeter of it is a bunch of different equipment like barrel rolls, monkey bars and a chain bridge. Every year, we had a sports carnival, and we would practice for the events a few weeks leading up to it. Ms. McDouche made us go around the oval on the equipment before we practiced for the triple jump. I slipped on the chain bridge and it took a little chunk out of my shin. Everyone was already finished and on the other side of the oval by the sandpit, so I had to limp ALL THE WAY ACROSS, holding the leg of my trackies up to show Ms. McDouche and ask if I could sit out, but apparently it was mandatory, and I was like "BITCH, I HAVE A GASH IN MY LEG." So I did the triple jump, got dirt all over it, it got infected af and now I have a huge scar. Also, I'm pretty bad at sports, so if I did something wrong, my classmates would yell at me. And what did she do? Fuck all. Something similar happened to my sister last year at our high school. She was being bullied by the head girl, and the teachers weren't doing anything about it because she was a representative of the school. Not even take the head girl's badge and give it to someone else. My sister was having panic attacks pretty much every day and I was worried about her all the time, because I was in senior high school in another suburb by then, which added to the stress of my ATAR classes, which I think is Australia's equivalent of AP? My English teacher at that high school is probably one of the most pathetic people I've ever met. Pretty much everyone, even the other teachers, don't like him. First of all, he has Year 6-10 students doing ATAR level work. One of my classmates sucked up to him and he played favourites with her, gave her As and would winge to her about stuff. He started discussing gay marriage with my classmates, saying how it's wrong, and basically compared gay people to animals, and I was sitting there like "Hi, I'm queer af and I have to listen to this bullshit." and he apparently made another gay kid cry. My friend was in his advisory and he gave her a complete bullshit report because she called him out. Some of my friends tried to get him fired. All of my senior high school teachers are great, but I the special needs teacher annoys me so much. I have a friend who's autistic at this school, and she complains that they infantilise them, they're not allowed in the library, and one of my other friends who's in the mainstream program with me was talking to one of the autistic kids and the teacher came over and basically said "You can't talk to them. They're disabled." Also, this happened just this term. My autistic friend is a tomboy, and it's cold right now, so she's wearing lots of baggy clothes, and the teacher's like "You should dress more girly." It's not as big a deal, but still kind of annoying because it's none of her business what my friend wears when it's like 18 degrees. Lmao sorry for the fucking essay, but that's my stories.

Here’s why: 1) we barely do anything but still learn 2) the teacher has tattoos and that’s really cool 3) our teacher does digital art Shit that happened in class: -while talking about the titanic, one dude shouted “Rose was a hoe” -some kid started playing the ending theme from Ponyo and dancing to it -“the new kid is flexing on all of us” -“you just played your whole life” -we started playing a drama game in the middle of class and the teacher just went with it -this girl in the back of the class likes to burp a lot and it’s really funny -there’s a bunch of video game/tv show posters everywhere It’s only the second quarter.

Your hs sounds a lot like mine. My hs football won state 3 years in a row so of course the football team was a fucking precious commodity. Some of the failing football kids got to play, and when anyone would speak out against it, they'd be silenced. I was in the marching band. They didn't have a rule against marching if you're failing, but I stg the teacher had it out for me. I had to have surgery once and was absent for 3 days which caused me to temporarily fail math. Guess who fucking benched me? My music teacher. I was so angry that I refused to pay my band dues until I was able to march again. She begrudgingly let me march games but not competitions. I did recover eventually but she never let me march competitively again. And she got fired for it so...

I go to a ghetto school, and I was bullied for so long, the teachers literally didn't care. it went on for one year and when I fought back, I got in trouble, because the kid who bullied me was the son of a teacher, so he was deemed more important than me. I still got two more years there and I'm still getting bullied. Plus I really liked this video, it sends a really good message! Good Job! ^^

I know what u mean about the highschools tho. My high school is hella poor, and hardly anybody goes there. Yet it has some of the best diploma scores in the province. Alternatively, the other highschool in town, that my friend goes to, it's very big, literally everyone sends their child there, yet they have pretty bad graduating scores

At one school- not saying which because.. Reasons. So, most of my teachers were homophobes ( and I am lesbian and very open about it) but they never really let my sexuality affect anything. But then there was... This one teacher, let's call her Mrs. Extremely Straight, for short ExS. So, at one point the whole school knew I was lesbian, and that's exactly when ExS came to play. She was a new teacher, young, blonde and skinny. She was extremely weird, she tried to sneak up on guys while they were in the bathroom and called girls "sista" (expect me and my girlfriend). So, she once on a break asked me about... Well my sexuality! And I told her I am homo, I expected her to ignore it, and continue on doing whatever she was doing, like the other teachers, but... She was quite different, she told me these exact words, I remember them perfectly as they echo in my head sometimes " I already know that, but why? It's a sin, and not to mention, you could bang so many pretty guys" at that moment, I didn't know what to say. I was stopped. She kept staring at me right into my eyes with a very dissapointed face. I stood up, and.. Quietly said " i need to go to the bathroom". I locked myself in one of the stalls and I was thinking about what to do next.. Then the bell rang, and the next hour wasn't with ExS, so I was really happy at that moment. I unlocked the stall, and quickly ran to class. I didn't talk to her, that exact day, but the next day, was more wild. She had 3 hours with my class ( she was substituting 2 and 1 was her own). But, she took it to the next level, she took it so far, she called me out at class, during class, INFRONT OF MY CLASS! I was just shook, I guess she knew I'd hide from her again if she talked to me at a break. I had enough of her, and it was only the second time she talked to me. She purposely gave me worse grades, and kept showing me some random guys that could be my boyfriends. I left it to go for 2 weeks and then... SNAP. I had enough of her bullshit. Right the day I had enough of her bullshit, she snapped too. She screamed at me, but it really didn't affect me, I gnored her.. But then, the worst step she could have ever done, was go up to my girlfriend and yell at her, at that, I had fucking enough, I didn't care she was older than me, I didn't care she was a teacher, I started saying in her tone of voice " bUt WhY aRe yOU sTraiGht??? It'S a sIn nOT tO mEnTioN tHerE arE sO maNy prEttY girLS yoU coUld bANg?" I got to talk to the principal, I told him everything. Everything she did, and when I say everything, I mean it. I told him every little detail. I got her fired. And, from then.. I was the class hero. I guess people just thought it was heroic for me to do that? I thought it was childish, but... What wouldn't I do for a girl I love

UGH my sophomore English teacher. She'd have this stupid popsicle system where she'd have every one of us on a popsicle stick and whoever she pulls out has to answer the question. I get that she wants people to participate but even if they don't know, she'll make them think about it and even hold us after class. I seemed to only been drawn like 3 times in the year, but I hated it. If we don't understand the question, making us come up with a bullshit answer isn't gonna help us. (She also got mad when someone said they didn't know). This is an excerpt of one of the reasons I wanted to suplex her in the middle of class: *draws my name from a popsicle stick* "Explain what she means by 'unsex me here, make me more of a man blah blah blah Macbeth'" "Uh... she wants to become more evil I guess?" "...Okay, but why?" "Because she wants to be queen." "... she wants to become more of a man, to become more heartless and unregretful to get what she desires." Like...... I said that. You just reworded it. She also says things like "more greater" or "more scarier." It's a really big embarrassment when my mom got an email from the English teacher who couldn't spell. Also, it seems like we had similar Geometry teachers. I'm also a math nerd, but I ended up getting a C in honors geometry. Because we were honors geometry, she believed that we were almighty math gods, who only needed to be reminded of how to do math. She. Sped. Through. Everything. Even stuff we never learned before. She'd just do a question on the board and quickly scroll to the next. The first semester was a breeze, but she seemed to have given up by the second. It went to the point where all she did was complain about how much work she had to grade, how "terrible" we were, and how she refuses to give retakes. Come finals, she refused to even help us go over things we didn't understand. She would tell us that what we put on our test was final, but the next day she would hand it out without warning so we would still not know how to fix what we got wrong. Also, her grading system on the tests were weird. I wouldn't understand if I got a question wrong or right because there was at least 3 different symbols on the test. And she refused to answer questions, so I'd have to fucking pull an answer out of my ass. There's always memes about test questions having nothing to do with what we learned about in class, but this was the utter reality of it. Questions we never went over, and questions that looked like normal questions but they asked for something completely different. One of my main problems was at the end of the school year, she showed us our grades before our last test. I had a B. Good. I just have to try hard and get at least a three, B's are good. I got a 3, final grade was a C. How the fuck. I was too pissed to even talk to her. Stupid move on my part. My friend was in the normal geometry class and barely passed. Nobody liked her. Numerous complaints to the counselors but they basically shrugged their shoulders at us and said good luck. It's sad, I loved her personality but she was such a terrible teacher. Im glad a C will still get me into honors 3-4, though, but it was a major change from Freshman year. I had two B's freshman year. Rest were A's. I absolutely loved my Freshman year. Three C's (two were understandably my fault. Spanish was one of those classes that was so easy that I shoved it aside for other classes because I thought the tests were gonna save me, look where it got me.) one B, two A's sophomore year. Hated every second of it. On a positive, not-so-much note, I loved my art teacher, she was extremely supportive of both my classwork and my out of class art. Sadly, she doesn't teach my junior art choice (cartoon/animation) AND she's retiring. She deserves it though, there's always extremely annoying kids in her art classes that joined for a freebie that she had to deal with. I wish her well. My rant is over, hopefully everything goes well Junior year. (There's a possible chance I might get the same English teacher, and I'm honestly not happy about it, wish me luck).

Side note, in eighth grade I had a math teacher who was just generally awful. She disliked any student who wasn't black and a girl (myself being a white female), she failed me on projects when mine was 10x better than the girl who got a 100%, my mom eventually had to come to the school because I started bawling when I saw that I had a 69 in the class and ended up having to talk to the department head. I still hate that woman because she messed me up when I started high school because I was so behind everyone else.

This kinda sounds like my high school. It was the 'rich kid school' for my area. The people didn't do shit. You getting bullied? 'Oh well we're doing our best to take care of it, we don't want you to feel unsafe'. This is from the same people who when kids with anxiety came up to them, because rumors of a 'School Shooting like Columbine' (This was a school in Colorado) made them feel uncomfortable, they only said 'it's just a rumor.' Needless to say, a lot of kids didn't show up, and there were A LOT of anxious kids for the rest of the year. I think I was even one of those who acted sick for that day. Oh and I wasn't even rich, I lived on a farm(Which I enjoyed), and the kids would give you shit for that too. The teachers would just go on and on about how they care, and then not do SHIT. Rachel's Challenge would come to our school every year, and like at the end of the week everyone would apologize and say they're not going to bully people, and then the weekend would pass by and everything would be back to normal. The teachers would not really help kids who were struggling, the people I saw get the most attention were the 'smart ones' and the ones who played sports. And that applied to getting away with things too. (Though a teacher did like me when I told a girl to 'shut up' at the beginning of the year because I was trying to learn, and she wasn't. Probably the most popular I've ever been.) I think the main problem were the higher ups in the school, but yeah. Sorry a bit ranty-

If you have all A's then you might be fine. They will only help you if you want to be a dancer or other type of artist. At the middle school I went to, a kid got sexually assaulted in the boys bathroom. Both the aggressor and the victim left the school after it happened. We literally did not find out about the whole situation until months after it happened. When the parents questioned the principal he would get annoyed with them. They tried so hard to sweep the whole thing under the rug and they were pretty successful. And the next year the aggressor was back in the school. How lovely right?

I love your art so much, I'm normally not into speed paints but not only do you tell interesting stories, you also have a satisfying way of drawing. As a kid I went to a rich school and it was honestly amazing, the teachers paid close attention to every student. Buttttt I went to a ghetto high school that was trying to crawl it's way back up into being good. Technically, it was a good school ( how my district rates schools is A through F, A being the kids got top scores in the state testing and most passed with As or Bs and F being it's going to close down) My school had just became an A school but it was still shitty. maybe it's because it was trying to become great again but we never had any real problems with creepy teachers, they filtered out pretty fast. I have one problem with one of your stores though, the story about how you were mad about your consoler not telling you that you were graduating. On my senior year I was failing 4 out of my 6 classes (all required to graduate) the consoler brought me in 2 times to tell me that I was failing, I didn't need a reminder I knew very well that I was failing. l went into those classes everyday (before school, after school, fuck even weekends) to make it up. if you truly cared about if you passed your senior year, you would be in those classes bugging the teachers. AND let's just say, you NEEDED to talk to the consoler to know, then you would've been bugging that consoler everyday till they gave you the information you needed. you're pretty lazy to just expect that person to call you without the effort to contact them and you obviously didn't care enough. Also, on a lighter note. I took stage management ( the thing that has to do with stage lights, props extra) and it's pretty cool to hear about how it was interesting to you. You should take a small class to get more into it.

Whoa,, this is the first video ive seen by you, but oh my goodness, your art style is so adorable and i love the method on how you color- your art is just overall very pleasing and nice to look at! As well as that, I absolutely love it when artists speak while talking (especially while they have their recorded art not sped up), because honestly, your high school stories were very interesting, even if they weren't the best of times but still, i loved hearing about them! It's unfortunate though, how wealthy schools are known for 'prestige and amazing' and just bullshit like that but in truth, those schools and the system itself is /very/ corrupted. I can actually relate somewhat as i went to a wealthy public school known for being the very best in the state as well, and where everyone was successful and graduated, and all 'smiles and rainbows' but I ended up moving schools in my softmore year because it was so bad and literally hell, so I shifted over to a smaller and not wealthy public school in a small area (which actually was one of the best choices in my life, to this day; kids actually respect one another and views each other as equals, as it was a very small school in a small area, so everyone was already close, and teachers actually did want the best for all of their students, and were passionate about their jobs; most of the teachers, anyways). It's just frustrating on how smaller schools in not very wealthy areas are trashed on for being 'below par education wise' when really, the educational jump isn't that big, and people actually act like a community there, meanwhile, the wealthy and top-tier schools are filled with corruption and lies, inequality in a sense, but are still viewed as 'perfect'. Your stories really show representation of what really happens inside those schools, and it was very fascinating and I loved hearing your stories, even though they were shitty times, it was still entertaining to hear them, but again, also made me passionate about the topic once more-!I don't think I've ever subbed and gone to watch other videos of a creator so fast, pfft.

So I'm in a public school. I'm a rising 8th grader and not only do kids get special treatment if they are the principals daughters friends, but she has tried to hide that a student was selling edibles. She also tried to keep on down low that a student got off the bus drunk and the bus driver watched her fall face down, shrugged and left her there. We want to transfer me but a teacher in the only other public middle school is being investigated for sexually assaulting a girl.

Throughout middle school i had the same Orchestra director every year (the program apparently wasn't important enough to the school to give us more than one director for all 5 orchestras). She was okay the first year and had her good moments, but by the time i had reached the top orchestra (chamber) she consistently would tell us how much we suck and can't play properly and what a waste of time we were which really took a hit at the orchestra's confidence levels. The part that really pissed me off was that when we did well at competitions she made it a point to go on an on about how she always " tells us we are very advanced for our age and are better than we think we are". She once got so mad at us that she flipped the big metal metronome off of the desk and it was broken for the rest of the year. My brother had her as his orchestra director a few years before me and she once told him that she "didn't need basses in her orchestra" all because he had missed one rehearsal because he was sick. He walked straight out that room and left school because he was so tired of her shit.

My mom had a similar problem with favoring sports kids when she went to highschool- it's the reason she couldn't graduate which is why she's told me about it. She said that when she was in highschool she had a teacher (i forget his name so let's call him Mr.D) and he really liked the sports players. Now, my school (my mom's highschool when she was a teen too) still favors sports. The gym is the most money-sucking and nice looking room in my school. There have been issues with the bathrooms since i was in the 8th grade and I'm a senior now, but instead of fixing the doors that won't lock or the leaking toilets, they go and spend over $5,000 dollars on a new gym floor and new bleachers. Specially made bleachers, might I add, that say "Gryphons" across them when they're folded up. Anyways Mr.D really liked the sports kids and didn't care for anyone else really. He was a grade 12 english teacher and was shit at his job. He graded people based on their social group. My mom was not a sporty kid. She was just someone who did her work and didn't really stand out in any particular group of talent or any specific social group- a floater. Mr.D would start his classes by handing out something to read, then giving out an assignment based on the reading done. And that was all. For the whole year. Mom said that for SOME reason people tended to get the same or very close to the same grades on their assignments, as though Mr.D didn't even grade them, just slapped a letter on there. Oh, and the sports kids always seemed to get As... even the ones who were bad at english. So my mom called him out on his bullshit. Mr.D did not like my mom telling him he was a bad teacher and calling him out on favoring the sports kids. So what did he do? Failed her. The grade 12 english teacher, who taught a MANDATORY class; a class needed to graduate. He failed my mom because she told him he was working unjustly and was not even teaching anyone anything, and he didn't like that. He's the reaon why my mother never graduated and I really hate teachers like him becuase like my mother before me, I don't like taking anybody's bullshit.

I'm one of the lucky ones who mostly had teachers who care and teach us well. My English teacher this past year was so great, that I got a 97 on the ELA regents. My friend who was in the same class and usually had really bad grades got a 91. She was honestly an amazing teacher and I wish she was teaching my class next year. I'm so sorry you never had an experience like that where your teacher made you feel awesome about yourself. But hey, you're still an amazing artist and so interesting!

As someone who went to a school similar to this, I can tell you right now that most of the stuff you said about going to a wealthy school is true. The education system is basically the same, so it only matters on who you are surrounded by.

I love your art so much ^.^ i can't do drawing on a computer so I think it's awesome when people can draw with computers I watch my friend devon do it all the time when were in digital design class. I draw with pencil and go over in paint or marker. Your art style is really cool too mine are more like the style from the invader Zim show and my friend does hyper realistic were both in our senior year btw.

Ok, so I'm not in high school yet, and currently 13 right now and never really had a horrible teacher but there was this one freakin' art teacher I had for 7th grade that just set me off sometimes. Granted, I did love her but there was a reason tons of people hated her. So, I was in an Art Fair, and on the final day of getting to work on my art I called my mom to pick me up 10-15 minutes after school ended since I wasn't even prepared to stay after school to work on my art (the teacher said we couldn't even stay after school, but then said we could. 🙄) After my mom came to pick me up I panicked as I did finish but it looked really bad (I was drawing a realistic eye and I fucked up the eyelashes, which is a pretty important part of a fuckin' eye.) And I asked my teacher what she thought about it and she just fucking sat there silently before she said "Uh..well it was a good try, I'm glad you tried." I cried in the inside as I heard her practically say that it came out like trash, she was basically my role model, I was devastated, it was so hard to go home that day. It was a Friday when it was the last day to work on your artwork so I basically cried the whole fucking weekend only to find out that my teacher could give me an extra WEEK to work on it. I was so fucking pissed at her as she told us that FRIDAY was the last day but no she could give us an EXTRA WEEK. Anyways, she gave me and this other girl an extra week which, as mad as I was, I was still grateful about. Sorry for my little rant, love you and your art style so much! ❤️ (Side note: I got 2nd place)

High school at 13 huh? Is this a high school with the 8th grade as part of high school or what? Usually the age you enter high school is 14(provided you didn't retake entire grades).

What's funny is my school IMSA West, my middle school year, was seen as a highly sought-after school was terrible. Bullying was everywhere, it was so bad that it's now closed for the school year. The dean of students there thought nothing was happening and did nothing because he was a Christian and everyone (not really there were a lot of Muslim and Jewish students) was too. He even called me "ugly" and "easy to bully" because I was quiet and my hair was kinky.(I'm black and don't perm my hair). He said these things to my mother's and father's faces. I left there with lower self esteem and self worth. I'm glad that it's closed now. (BTW I love your art and you inspire me to draw more.)

I feel like "super hyped up schools" in general tend to be the shittiest ones- my middle school was literally in the top ten in the country at the time, yet there were roaches, half the teachers left and never came back, someone got stabbed across the street in fifth grade and they didn't even let us go home, kids climbing on the roof and fucking, teachers let us watch r-rated movies on the smartboard, you get the idea. I didn't learn shit there, so when I moved I ended up being really far behind. The only things I got from that place were some traumatizing memories and a strong disdain for the American educational system.

chool horror story: (this is from 7th grade by the way, I'm an freshman now.) I was bullied by a couple kids, but pretty badly by one kid. Let's call this kid, Mac. It mostly happened in my English class with Mac and another kid named Jello. I told my English teacher three times about this, and she never did anything. However during state testing I told one of the teachers who deals with all the IEP stuff (I'm on an IEP and so we're the kids testing in the room with me) that one of the other kids in the room had called me a pretty bad name (which had happened). And she actually did something about it. So yeah. Thankfully a lot of my highschool teachers are so much better.

Your story remember me a lot of my high school, where I live English is the second language and unfortunately, the majority of teacher that I had while growing up didn`t even know at 50 % the language! and when I went to high school my parent work day and night for giving me the opportunity to go to one of the only high school whose teachers were actually taught English and how to teach a second language to students. The first 3 weeks were awesome, the teachers were really friendly and flexible in their way of teaching, the students were not that friendly but were way to respectful about your belongings, likes, dislikes etc. the fourth and six weeks was ok but when I started to be comfortable in that school was where I learned that most of my teacher didn't even like teaching, they were really annoyed if you ask them for help one a subject. I event had a teacher who saw my cousin being bullied and humiliated and they just stare at him while doing nothing. I discuss the subject with the principal and my parents and the principal just gave her a warning. I didn't want to watch the whole subject but the issue never ended until my aunt sue the high school and make them pay for a psychologist for my cousin. The worst thing is that this issue was never heard of from other parents at the school and the school still holds the title of "best school" around here. :/

yeah I think its weird too... I have homeroom in second period. but my school is even weirder. There is a regular school schedule, and Homeroom schedule. Regular school schedule has absolutely no homeroom. Homeroom schedule has homeroom in 2nd period for some reason and since that period is added all the other classes are a tiny bit shorter. They randomly choose when the schedule is going to be homeroom or regular.

Oh man while I was back in highschool one of my teachers forced us to get a twitter and add her. Because if we didn't we would not get the homework. (Her account was locked). SO we had to add her and give her our handle or else she wouldn't give us the homework. While back then Twitter wasn't even GOOD on the phone. Cause very few people had smart phones back then. The worst part was there were a few kids in my class who didn't have their own PERSONAL computer and their parents wouldn't let them make a twitter. So we would give them the homework numbers and the teacher wouldnt take their work because they didn't have their twitter handle 8/

i go to a pretty nice school that gives the students freedom to do a major they want to do. They also gave the kids freedom to speak out about things. They gave us so much freedom that it was too much freedom, or in some sense controlled freedom. There were certain politics we weren't allowed to talk about, and other politics we could talk about passionatly even though it was a little hypocritical. There was also this time when there was a shooting in another school and students decided to do walkouts all over the country. Our school faculty set up a walk out for the kids, but gave a time limit. That wasn't the point of the walk out. So in the end there were 2 walk outs. One set up by the teachers, and one set up by the students. The principal said students would get in trouble if they participated in the student walk out instead of going back to class. I think one of our best teachers got into an argument with him and actually quit teaching at our school. I still love the heck out of my school because of the teachers, but other times i have that sense of uncomfortableness when given projects on political agendas.
