That bike is most certainly a sportbike. A sportbike you can spend many miles and hours on. That bike handles very well and it brakes well too. Like another comment on here, it is a marvel of two wheel engineering. Between the aerodynamics, the balance, comfort and it has very forgiving manners. This is a bike that wants to make you happy. In every way. It’s not as flickable as a gsxr, but it more than makes up for that in its own way. Having owned both (many) my choice is the Hayabusa Enjoy, and stay safe!

@hb83574 жыл бұрын
Of course it is a sport bike. Doesn’t handle the curves like smaller sport bikes but definitely a whole lot better than any cruiser. Definitely nothing like a HD, and is not heavy at all. Even holding up a 1k lb HD is not heavy and the Busa is half that weight. The Busa is fast but most new 1000’s are now faster than the Busa. Try an H2!
@KemDIY4 жыл бұрын
My buddy has a Busa and I ride it a lot. You really need to open it up at high RPM’s. At least once. Maybe 2nd gear to 3rd gear each at high RPM’s. otherwise you are not getting the experience. If you have another chance do it!!
@Studio51media4 жыл бұрын
kemnik1 absolutely ! These guys are LOST. It may be a 1300cc engine but it still doesn’t make (real) power until it gets to 7000 (ish) RPMs. And sure it has “torque” but what makes that bike exhilarating is 1st or 2nd gear at 10k RPMs when it ACTUALLY gets up on the cam... and turns into the animal it ACTUALLY is... I’d use the “p” word here but I love the little yummy pube... so I will behave myself
@KemDIY4 жыл бұрын
Brad Baerwald agreed!!! THAT would have been a video! Cause if they are losing their shit on low rpm torque pulls...they’d need a diaper at high RPM pulls.
@KemDIY4 жыл бұрын
Brian Conner that’s for sure. But still can roll into higher RPMS in a predictable way. When I rode my friends I was very scared to have that front end come up so I rolled on pretty slowly but still could experience some higher rpm rush. But you are right definitely not for everyone and have to respect the machine. I mean most liter bikes and above are as dangerous. I have a Yamaha FJR 1300 and it’s also very heavy but can come up in 1st and second. Fun stuff at any rate.
@G1006664 жыл бұрын
The first time I rode mine it was on a twisty mountain road and I hated it. Within a month I had learned to move around the seat and push it into corners. I now love it on any road. You also need to keep it in a low gear. Keep the revs at 6k plus and it really moves.

I don’t just think this because I own one, but I disagree that the Hayabusa is compensating for “something”. I think it’s possible that that could be the case, but for those of us who actually enjoy using the power, I disagree. It’s not like driving down to the bar in a lifted Powerstroke with huge wheels and blowing black smoke everywhere and then never using it what it’s for. A friend of mine had a Busa and we put a turbo on it. It was the most terrifying thing i've ever ridden and the first Busa I rode. The bike wanted to kill you or idle... thats it. My test drive with my guess on mapping, I stood it up on end by rolling throttle at 100mph. No tug, no clutch dump, just *whoop*, throttle wheelie. I brought it back to the garage and my knees were banging together and palms were soaked. Then I realized three days later how off my map was. Added some fuel. Next trip... I wouldn't ride it again. It had a two second turbo lag, then it was a murder machine.

A gen 2 is 172-179hp depending on where you live and what day it was built. With some money and tinkering my gen one did end up over 200hp to the ground and still run pump gas. Then in 2011 I got a s1000rr....and once the governor came off at 600 miles, holy?!’@. Busa hp but 100lbs lighter with zero mods. Yes! @@windowlicker6996 went to I of M with a dry bag and rucksack, not got all the panniers and top box as I think it spoils it, only had it couple of years but going to Eire this year. Upgraded master cylinders to Brembo and other mods, easy to ride, might do Spain and Portugal, bit heavy but once moving it handle as good as my fireblade, used to go to Europe on a Suzuki GSXR 1100M back in the 90s

Reminds me of when I first sat on a Harley. Felt like a easy chair compare to my R1. I was looking at a Honda Blackbird, but it felt so huge to me. I wonder if that is what the Busa must feel like.

2:00 that's why i don't like powerful bikes. When your in city streets you the roll on the throtel as gently as petting a butterfly or you WILL shoot yourself through a wall with couple of pudestrians smeared on your visor and windshield

They put that motor in little track cars for clay track racing. They actually go as fast as the super modified full size cars.

First ride on a T L was more of an eye opener for me. Had my busa for 10 years now.

8:55 my driving school instructor once drove a busa on the airport landing strip and went 310km/h then a beetle hit his helmet. He never drove a busa again. Also probs for not wearing safety gear while riding a 197HP bike

Can you please tell me how you record your audio? is it with the gopro, or something plugged into the gopro or are you recording on something completly different and just add the recorded sound later in production?

I had a CBR400 and it was already fast. I would be terrified riding that one.

I loved this one. So cool to be giddy on a bike. I have 15 bikes but My daily rider is GSX1100F. I got that “what the F” feeling the first time I rolled back the throttle. I didn’t roll off until I hit a buck 40. I get it .

Give it some stick! Spent many happy an hour on one road and track, 2up knee down scratching on Twisty UK roads. Cane it like a 600, you'll get used to it and want more power later. This and the zzr are so well mannered.
