It really is an excellent product. Of course it had the success initially because of the KZbin/star quality, and I purchased initially because I followed Cristine and trusted her content and, not in a small way wanted to support her- but I've done that in a token way for other creators, too, but I don't think I've ever purchased from a 'second launch' for other creators' products. Holo Taco is different. I love the product. I've never liked a top coat as much as I like the glossy & super glossy tacos- and the linear holos are so concentrated, I get such compliments when I wear them. My manicures last two + weeks - until I get tired of them, and I never have any chipping anymore. It's awesome. And when I had one issue with the quality of a bottle, customer service was ON IT. It's a very well run business, from my POV. It says a lot for the longevity of the brand.

HT customer service is top tier. I had a leaked bottle in my first order, no questions asked - new bottle in the mail. A certain other brand, not very well liked atm, sent me two faulty products and offered to send them in my next order... Like I just spent like 200€ and you want me to order more to get what I already paid for??? After I disagreed with this they send them to me. But I cannot comprehend that they even suggested this to me? HT has spoiled me 🥺

Exactly my feelings on this brand. I bought initially because I've followed Cristine for awhile, but came back because of quality and the unique variety of polishes she offers. I get compliments on my polish all the time and I love trying new combos. (All the unicorn skins hold a very special place in my collection) And her customer service is truly on point. The response times are pretty incredible and always helpful. I can't wait to see what's in store for the next launches!

Honestly i could not have said this better. I liked Royal-tea blue and wanted to support Cristine so i bought it but my mind was blown away from the quality of the polishes. I was used to drug store quality, 3-4 coats to get opacity, top coats that did nothing to protect the mani. So HT blew it out the water and i was hooked!

HT literally revived my love for painting my nails the products are so good. I will buy again and again, and if theyre still releasing collections when i get a good income I'll probably buy every launch. Not to mention im excited to buy other indie polishes to use with my glossy taco.

Normally I gloss over the part when KZbinrs thank the audience, not because what they are saying isn't important or heartfelt, it's because I feel like I am an outsider for some reason, but this one felt different. I want to say thank you to Cristine and Ben and Holo Taco too. I(M 27, at the time) lost my partner(M 33), in October due to cancer, and felt lost, felt defeated, and felt like i failed him. I remember back in 2019 when we got the first Holo Taco launch, and we celebrated it together by painting our nails at a little hotel we got to advoid thinking of the cancer, it was so beautiful. We would watch random Simply videos and Podcast episodes together, and laugh and smile together. When October came, it was.. a shock.. and I didn't take it well, and suffered bad mentally. But... oddly enough, what kept me going and able to enjoy little moments like watching your podcast or catching up on KZbin tea. It was like a dark storm that let up for just a moment to breathe. By no means is this post to apply any pressure as a role model or to cause any anxiety but to say, I am honestly really grateful for those happy moments. Thank you Cristine and Ben from the bottom of my heart. You two are Simply-Amazing.

I love their podcast set up so much. Its so much more interesting and different than everyone else who just sits on the same side of a table or sits in chairs across the room from eachother, feels like a way more natural conversation set up and the different angles make it way more interesting if youre actually watching it.

I knew that Cristine didn't launch this brand with the ultimate goal of making more money, but hearing them talk about the process, and how much thought goes into each release, and how decisions are made, really solidifies that for me. This is why i keep coming back at least once a year for a collection box or 2. Not everything is up my alley, but the stuff that is has always been of an amazing quality, and i sometimes am amazed that even with the amount of swatches and videos i see, a polish still manages to blow me away when i swatch it in person. Can't wait to receive my gala collection box 🧡

I wonder if you ever did "Last Hurrah" restocks of your products, AKA deciding to discontinue them but giving them one last full restock and announcing it, if that would help quell some issues. Because then superfans of the product might be able to get their hands on a small collection of them before it's gone.

I think this is a good idea, but put forth that the announcement be an email to existing customers and not a snippet of a stream. Maybe incorporate the discontinued page idea, and have a last hurrah page on the website.

Agree!!! Neutral cremes and I want more pale cremes like laven-duh but in other colours. I know she has a range of pastels but they are still too bright. I just want subtle cremes of good quality that I can apply toppers to. I'm satisfied at the moment with my darker cremes and middle range, just missing the light cremes.

As an economist I understand the need for increasing prices. However, when you increase something in one fell swoop it causes "price shock" to the buyer. Like lets say for example you want to increase the price of your creme polishes which I think are 11 dollars right now. You could do one fell swoop and go okay "its now 16" well thats a 5 dollar increase and will make some customers go "oof 14 dollars for what used to be 11 thats a lot" but if you increased prices to okay now our creme polishes are 13 dollars well thats a 2 dollar increase and customers will still notice it but not be so put off and probably still buy. you let that price sit for a year then increase it to 14. Then another 2 dollar raise to 16 or whatever. price shock is a real thing to consumers and you wanna be mindful of that. Just throwing my economist thoughts out there. Love your brand and all you do.

@@denise_the_economist in makeup or even nail polish, I actually don't mind shrinkflation as much because I already never use it up. or very rarely use it before it expires. (nail polish doesn't expire but makeup does). I mainly just want it for the color. For example I never pay attention to price per gram in eyeshadows, only to the full price and how many colors you get in that palette. With food though I always look at price per ounce and compare brands based on that.

I'm very happy about your transparency regarding seasonal and LE releases. I can't always afford to buy everything I want as it drops. I always plan financially for the main collection releases (because I want the boxes) and the special (anniversary and birthday) releases. The fact that you have a fairly predictable release schedule help with that, but also knowing with the little in between releases helps me when I know it's going to be there when I have the money to treat myself to a little something extra between releases.

FEEEEDBACK! I absolutely LOVE when different formulas have very similar/the same shades! Ijust had a manicure of High Tea Hibiscus, Hot Wire Pink, and Plumb Luck and I wish there had been just a little bit pinkier purple chunky holo glitter to match more perfectly.

This is why I love your brand and own everything you make! From the OG collection box to this launch, I'll always be a loyal customer because of how you choose to run your business. Everything is so thought out, and well planned and you really do take care of your customers, and we mean something to you. You never forget that without us, there would be no Holo Taco, and vice versa! You are the perfect example of how businesses can be profitable while still taking care of their customers and listening to them and their feedback. I love how humble you are, and how the fame and money never got to you. That's a rarity. It's something I never had growing up (with a covert narcissistic mother, in which I have borderline personality disorder due to her abuse). All I have are my bunnies and my schooling. As gifted children can have a hard time in undergrad.... therapy has helped luckily. Now I am 27... and things have been tough but Holo Taco helps me get through the rough times! It’s crazy to me that Tea Crème’s collection was almost not a collection when it was my favorite to date. The “box” is my favorite because of its uniqueness and is one of the two that I actually have kept. I never found myself so invested in a company before in my life, but Holo Taco changed that. I was hesitant to buy from holo taco in the beginning, mainly because i live in the Netherlands and had never ordered anything internationally and because im a guy who might not be able to wear nail polish if maybe my boss wasn’t okay with it or if id get problem finding and internship for school, even though i kinda wanted to wear it my entire life. But after a while of watching and gaining more confidence thanks to Christine and holo taco, i bought a cheap nail polish and a remover and slowly started wearing nail polish. My nails are almost never not polished now and I’ve gained confidence to even wear more outgoing colors. Even the reaction surprised me, sure there still certain looks i get, but I get a surprising amount of compliments about my nails from colleges and customers and am hearing stories of me inspiring other people too by just wearing polish. I get excited about the fact that i can now wear my nails, knowing the huge positive response will outweigh every weird look or comment i get once in a while. I’ve wanted to order for so long and I’ve finally ordered my first package from holo taco and I literally can’t wait for it to arrive so i can play with my nails more and more. And above that i get excited about the fact that i can with confidence look at the next collection reveal and confidently order and support Christine! I just wanted to share this because Christine inspired me to wear my nails like i always wanted too and it helped me find my style in general and im so thankful for that.

We can all figure out with ease that producing a bottle of nail polish or basically anything isn't easy, there's lots of work go into it, but talking about it, or discussing and giving insights into the actual work bts, showing footage of the workplace etc really makes us appreciate the people and their hard labour so so much more. Yeah, I think the frosted metals didn't sell as well because the colors were too similar to previous releases & not everyone can afford (or wants) every polish. Plus, they look way better in person.

I don’t usually comment (hardcore introvert) but I wanted to say how much I truly appreciate what you have done and where you’ve taken this brand. I started painting my nails almost 4 years ago and I only did ~boring~ cremes. Technically speaking, my first HT order was when the base and top coats came out, but that was all I got. I had never bought nail polish that wasn’t in a crème formula until I finally bought a proper bottle of HT polish in May of last year. I picked up a few toppers and one of the linear holos polishes. That was all it took for me! It may sound silly, but that first bottle of linear holo really opened a door for me. I’ve bought and tried a bunch of different formulas since. I don’t know if any of that would’ve happened if it hadn’t been for you and what you created with HT. So, congrats on all you and your team have accomplished in the last 3 years and here’s to all that still awaits in the years to come 🥂

So I've always liked nail polish but store nail polish has always been boring to me. Going out to the nail salon was the only place that I could find the sparkly holo glitter nail polish that I desired but the cost of getting my nails done every two weeks and then making time for appointments was just too much to keep up with. Since your brand came out I will say that my love for nail polish has surfaced again and you really make nail polish fun and interesting. I have bought so much of your product and have put my trust in you and your brand. I'm 30 years old and can't do with the boring cremes so I really appreciate how much care and effort you put into making holographic polishes that are top quality. Keep coming out with more and expand your brand, I would love to see what other sparkly things you come out with. Will definitely keep supporting!

I want to applaud an element of the HT rewards program launch: that you set it up so people who had ordered from HT, yet never made an account, still automatically got rewards perks from past purchases upon sign up. Cristine! Been here since you were still doing nail tutorials LOL almost 7/8 years ago? Been absolutely amazing to grow up with you essentially. I was in my undergrad when I found you, and am far past those days now. It's been incredibly inspiring but also heart warming to watch you grow and have the success you have. A few years ago I got sick with lupus, and a myriad of other health issues, and having these chill content session in the podcast, streams, and even Mr Bentendo has been such a blessing for those days my brain and body feels like sludge, or I just need to relax. This entire podcast and the ones before answering questions about the business side of Holo Taco is not the only reason I will continue to buy Holo Taco but is an added bonus to supporting this brand. The level of transparency and trying to explain what they can to justify why collections come out when they do, why some things haven’t been done yet, and the reality of inflation, is just something you don’t see from many brands or businesses out there. Most brands and businesses just raise their prices with a wave of their hand like let the customers deal with it. I’m so proud to be a part of the Holo Taco community and love the sense of belonging I get from it. Congratulations again for 3 years of Holo Taco! I am very mindful of how I spend my money and I always take into consideration, how much do I really want/need this product, is it worth hitting that minimum for free shipping, is it worth paying shipping for the few items I do want. It’s really cool to have been here watching Cristine since like 2016. I remember when HT was getting ready to launch and she had the teaser website up, I was like it’s probably merch or something. And had it been merch, I don’t think I would have ever gotten so into nail polish like I am now. I remember receiving my launch box and just being amazed with the simplicity of two cremes and three toppers. Flakie is still my favorite topper. It’s been so much fun to see everything grow.

I am a broke college student, but for Christmas last year I got a Holo Taco bundle and it is genuinely the best nail polish I have ever used and I still get excited to wear it. Although I can't afford all of the launches, I can't wait for the day when I can support more consistently. I originally bought Holo Taco to support Cristine, a KZbinr I admired. Throughout the years, I have continued to purchase Holo Taco not only because I think Cristine and Ben are genuine people, but because this is a quality product! I am a mother of two young kids, a teacher and a very active person... I know that if I do my nails using Holo Taco, my manicure will last for over 2 weeks without chipping, plus the customer service is amazing!

Maybe not a popular idea, but I would honestly love some ‘matching’ colors in different formulas. Being able to do all linear holos with a complimentary holo glitter accent nail and keeping the colors in the same family/shade but mixing up the finish would be a really cool aesthetic.
