★ Recipe:
1 can (13.5 oz) full fat canned coconut milk
1/4 cup organic sugar, coconut sugar, or sweetener of your choice
In a small saucepan, over medium heat, place contents of canned coconut milk.
Bring to a low boil.
Add sugar, stirring until dissolved.
Turn heat to low and let simmer, mostly undisturbed, until reduced by about half (1-2 hours usually). DO NOT ALLOW CONTENTS TO BOIL!!
Remove from heat and cool.
Store in a glass jar in the fridge.

:-) Just a heads up, Trader Joe's brand of organic coconut milk doesn't seem to work as well as other brands. Don't know why...

I've had the best results with Native Forest brand coconut milk. The Trader joe's brand has been a bust twice now, so I wouldn't recommend that.

Thanks for being totally honest. I tried this making from watching another KZbin video and they didn't mention not to reboil which I seriously over boiled it.and ruined my recipe.

What brand of coconut milk did you use? I've had problems twice now with the Trader Joe's brand (oil content is higher?) and the best results with Native Forest.
