Honda EK9 CTR Refresh Build - Installing New Tein Coilovers | Brake Refinish | Alignment (Episode 6)

In this episode of this series, our team will be installation a set of brand new Tein Advance-Z coilover. Along with that, we will also refinish front and rear brake calipers, rotors and along with a set of brand new Oem brake pads. We have step-by-step instructions so you can do it right at your home. Like the TEIN suspension👍 I use for my Lexus. Lowering the car at the right height and still more comfortable ride than normal suspension in my opinion.

Dang I love how easy it is to remove Honda suspension, especially the GEH cars. Surprising to see the forks on the rear shocks. I thought CTR had the same type of LCA and rear shocks with the eyelet bushings like ITR’s.

We love working on them, as most people also. And yes, to mostly people surprises, EK9 has forks for the rear LCA. Wish they would do the same as Dc2

This video satisfies my OCD and love for Type R. Strange that someone installed DA suspension. I swapped out my like new Tein monosport for Spoon springs and struts because I found them far too firm for street use. I was concerned about paint on the rotor discs until you turned them. I got an Acura ad during this video but sadly it was the short version that didn’t show the ITR!

This is awesome, I would love to see a 2018+ Honda accord build with upgrades for ultimate street car like a type R version and one for the track... would be nice especially if you work with bisimoto, Mugen Racing, etc

I recommend changing the rotors... Ovetime there are getting thinner which would cause safety problem...i have a ek9 too i replaced them with Delios.

One of my dream cars . Not too many people notice the difference in the faux carbon trim on the RX compared to the regular R. I doubt he would want to cut the front bumper but oem jdm yellow fogs would look amazing on it .

That’s a pretty big commitment to cut the Oem bumper for the Oem fog lights but you never know once the owner finds the itch for more Oem+ goodies

We only use it to tighten down the fasteners. Chrome sockets are not designed to do high impact work. Impact sockets will do a much better job

Should’ve went with kw’s even the v1’s are waaaaay better than the tein he installed. Too soft even at the hardest and can’t even go low without hitting the bumpstop.
