I'm going to stand up for myself and I won't back down from a confrontation. Too many times I've been mistreated by others because I was too scared to speak up and I wanted others to be happy without considering my own wellbeing. God please lend me your strength and give me the courage for what I'm about to do.

This helps, but even when I did this (I still do) a few years back, I'm still not confident. I'm not scared to fight, but I'm not confident. This dude is right. Doing hard stuff, hard work, overcoming.... that is where it's at
@Love-thyself3 жыл бұрын
same here my mate, and you are 100% right, stand up, its all about standing up, even though you don't have courage, still stand up as weak as you can be, stand up, its not easy, i have the same issue, but its worth it, may God strength your heart. and I've realized that it's been a year since this comment, so how did it go standing up for yourself mate.
@Gabriel_the_Shemite2 жыл бұрын
@@Love-thyself I lost the battle, but I won the war. I was 17 when I posted this comment; I confronted the man who was causing me all my troubles, face to face, non of that internet malarkey. I was scared, my voice whimpered, my knees felt like noodles; when I look back at it, there was nothing to be afraid of. I don't think I got my point across in that confrontation, always you think to yourself, "I could have, should have, would have..." - but I did the best that I could in that very moment. That event tested my mettle, and is partially what made me the man today: the outcome is not what is to be praised, rather, the will to act when under pressure, I believe the latter is what separates Boys from Men. I'm 19, stronger, wiser, and bolder - all credit to Jesus. As for my adversary, he became obese and is in a path of self destruction. Many people like to say "you should forgive your enemies", but only those who ask for forgiveness deserve forgiveness, and I doubt my enemy will ever repent. The only way to achieve peace is through war; Negotiations are delays of the inevitable; Pacifists get pushed around; The victors are those who take action.

Does the average guy even know how to relax? Or is he stressed out of his mind when he's "resting"? Is resting just sitting around doing nothing? Or is it clearing your mind an allowing it a break from daily stress. I personally believe it is the latter. And honestly, i haven't met many men capable of clearing their minds. Took me a bit to get the hang of it, but you can do it with meditation. Best part is, it only takes 10-15 minutes to meditate a bit and give your mind a rest. So you you end up with more usable time rather than less, as you no longer need to sit on the couch in front of the TV for 3 hours to relax.

Confidence is also important for a woman because if she's always saying "I'm fat or I'm ugly", it makes the man feel like he's looking at the bottom of the barrel. I expressed myself emotionally to my brother and sister. I buried my emotions for many years and would more often then not act tough or put on a mask. That made me feel very insecure about my looks and emotions. By expressing my emotions in a healthy way, I can then go through and assess my mental inventory to find what doesn't work for me in my life. In my opinion, it's all about balance. 🙂

I grew up in a single parent household, and as a result I did most of the things my mom taught me to until I hit a certain age and started hanging out with the 'cool kids' (So I started smoking, drinking etc... just to get accepted). My father and I never were close enough to each other, today I feel uncomfortable with myself etc... So I'll talk to him about my struggles and get him to understand why I seem very distant and different from all my brothers that are so talkative while I just stay there like a wallflower.

Well this job has helped me acquire a comfortable house, and a solid life style, and I have met very good people here. As far as supplements for the gym you really don't need anything besides maybe some whey protein isolate powder and some basic creatine monohydrate. Real foods will always be the best source of protein and everything that you need, stuff like whey protein isolate only is necessary if you are having trouble getting enough protein or if you are on the go or something like that. You only need at most about 1 gram of protein per day per pound of your body weight for muscular growth, which really isn't too much unless you are a particularly big guy.
