Modern games in general just kind of look worse or boring imo. It looks like they opened unity, put down some assets and called it a day. No shaders or the interesting piss color of yesteryear it all just looks like stuff on the blender default cube rendered with a few settings turned "yes". Take the Batman one for example. The fear toxin effects and stuff look cool asf but if it were from the Arkham games it'd look much better. There would be like specific lighting for yummy shadows, bloom and lens shit. The suicide squad just looks like that but with a bunch of things turned off and all you're left with are models, animations and a bit of lighting.

Flash is killed with a speed force decoupler, something designed specially to counter speedsters. That weapons makes sense. Green lantern was killed with yellow lanterns to destroy his constructs and weaken his will, in turning weakening him. Makes sense. Batman was killed using a special fear toxin made by Harley Quinn that countered his own. That makes sense. Superman was killed using golden kryptonite laced bullets which with enough exposure can permanently depower a kryptonian. Use your brain, please.

He sneaks up on Hal in the water, and in a horror sequence bites down on Hal’s hand. Instead of anything bad happening though King Shark’s teeth shatter. Then Hal comically waves his hand around like there’s a small animal biting it and King Shark goes flying thousands of feet into the air. Not an alternate timeline. They are explicitly clear in this game that this game takes place in the Arkham universe. Early in the game you walk through the Justice League museum. In Batman's section of the museum they explain the events of the Arkham games. (For example: how Clayface disguised himself as the Joker to fool Batman, or how Joker died of a disease because he broke the last vial of the cure.) It explicitly explains the story of Arkham Asylum/City.
