I've heard training legs can sometimes help build your upper body because your body tries to keep itself somewhat symmetrical. Anyone think this maybe true?
@onechampion4128 Жыл бұрын
That would possibly mean that if you trained only upper your legs would compensate which does not seem the case so it can't be true
@MaverickJohnson007 Жыл бұрын
@@onechampion4128 Ive heard a study that had individuals with a broken arm train the healthy arm. After the cast come off the injured arm, they measured both and found that both arms made gains. Not sure this would equate to legs bringing up the upper body but it doesn't seem totally unreasonable at least to some degree.
@T80DMC1227 күн бұрын
Yep, it's somehow true, I have only been training my upper body (arms) more than ever, and I have noticed gains in my chest and lats, not a lot my slightly little gains, and as a bonus, my legs have some sort of a little more muscle mass, almost not noticible, but If you look not so closely, my calves for example are a little bigger, so it's kinda true

My greatest insecurity is quite funny on the outside. I have great genetics for legs plus i hit them twice a week and never skipped them. But the problem are the glutes. I'm a pretty skinny guy but I have some muscle mass, and quite a bit in my legs because I played soccer. My biggest insecurity is I think a little untraditional but, my forearms. Along with being skinny, I'm tall and have long arms so my forearms are just so small. I couldn't care less about my other body parts as long as my forearms are small lol.

I train my forearms and they're still small, but at least they have definition now so idk. Can't bulk calves and forearms somehow as if they just ignore the fat and protein. But glutes and upper arm works well. Lol I swear, human anatomy is weird and annoying when unfortunate genetics play a role.
@Lucario9d2 жыл бұрын
@@myrkflinn4331 yea that’s the thing-i have a lot of definition in my forearms. You can see my veins and muscle striations, but because of the my arm length, there is no size to it. Try more resistance and slower reps. If you go too fast you'll burn the muscle and burn the fat and idk how to explain this, but more volume and tons of movement is more cardio. You'll be lean, but not bulky if you do that route. If you go heavier and slower, and eat tons of protein, and if you can (some carbs), you should gain volume in general over time.

I played basketball pretty seriously for 9 years so my legs are actually pretty fine (especially my calves) but push pull leg rest pretty soon became push pull rest push pull rest rest. Yeah, I also started to skip legs because I walk 7-10 km after work and my left knee is pretty messed up from basketball but this video definitely motivated me to get back into it. Maybe not full leg day but at least some lunges and squats. Other than that I don't really have a big insecurity in my body, closest I can think of is my forearms but people keep saying I don't have any butt so hopefully some sumo squats will help with that.
