Dan Green is the reason I started powerlifting. That old school Animal videos of him in black and white teaching squat bench and deadlift were the first videos on powerlifting I ever watched.

Love the gentle addition of the weights by Dan. He's going balls deep every session, just picking weaker exercises to reduce the stress.
@chrisweidner4768 Жыл бұрын
Yep. The only way to train. You have heavy days and light days, but the intensity is always there.

I cant believe these guys' volume of back training, especially all the lifts they do that are compound which are hitting some legs inherently as well...wow, this is pretty eye opening. Supports my theory...fuck overtraining hahaha....HARDER!!! MORE!!! KILL!!! 😆 🤣 😂 In all seriousness, this was really eye opening...I need to start hitting back multiple times per week, but figure out how to also get heavy leg day in all with being fresh and not feeling sore going into the various back or leg training sessions. Please show this full interview, If you haven't already. I want to hear more from these two gentlemen please. Marine Mike

True, although remember the PED's help a lot to recover from the crazy high volume so if natural maybe tone it down some.
@BobbyLegs5 жыл бұрын
Is that a Sinn U1 you wearing?
@garypriest76795 жыл бұрын
Wow that’s a lot of volume is that practical for someone who is natural or am I over thinking that it
@Jmack78615 жыл бұрын
You would eventually adapt, and don’t forget they periodize their training. This is most likely just a generalization for what they may do off season far from a meet or a tthe beginning of a peaking cycle.

it does not matter if you are drug assisted or not, you need to find ways to do more
@torynichols24135 жыл бұрын
I think it's more about how advanced you are. You have to remember these guys are at the top of the top, their needs are going to be vastly different.
@thedominomaster1015 жыл бұрын
@@torynichols2413 this too, I remember Dave saying 'for an advanced level powerlifter, what you need to do to get better isn't the same as what you've done as an intermediate - and vice versa' (paraphrasing)

Treat my back like my chest. Max effort singles seal rows. Seated 45 row. Etc. Everything but pullovers Sb ros. Pulldows are higher reps.
