HOW FAST IS THE 2024 AWD CADILLAC LYRIC. 500 HP AND 450 LBS/FT INSTANT TORQUE.
Maybe Cadillac would like to answer this.
The Cadillac Lyriq is a very quick vehicle. However out of the hole, or from a dig, it's a bit of a slug, especially with all wheel drive. For a car with this power the 0 to 30 should be way better than the results show. There has to be a reason why. Midrange and ending 1/4 mile speed are excellent.

Pretty powerful machine, but yea the 0 to 30 ain't right. Should be around 1.7 or so.

I think it might be deliberate in order to have a smooth acceleration.

Wasabi9111, you hit the nail right on the head. I actually chatted with Cadillac on line. It turns out that it is restricted for comfort (like you said smooth acceeration) and to preserve range. However, for $1,200 Cadi can do an over the air update where they will unlock 74 lbs ft of torque, knocking .3 secs off the 0 to 60 time. This update will replace 'Sport Mode' with 'Velocity Mode'.
