I really hate that happened to you. TXU didn’t do their job. It’s a shame you had to go to the BBB to settle the dispute but that’s one of the reasons it exists. Congrats on the new score!

I live in California and was in the middle of buying a home and this energy company came up on one of my credit reports with the exact same amount that you had...I have never lived in Texas and never lived anywhere near that apartment where I was billed... I tried to get Txu to remove this fraudulent charge so my home loan could close. Unfortunately I had to pay it to before my loan would close. TXU said they had my social but not any other proof...I am beginning to think after hearing about your exact same incident with this company and a apartment complex in Texas that there is something fishy going on with the apartment complex and Txu.

Wow!!! That’s crazy. I’m so sorry that happened to you. I refused to pay for something that I did not use. Fortunately, my loan had already been approved, because my husband was telling me to go ahead and just pay it. Again, wow!!

OMG...Val I know exactly 💯 how you felt. I had a similar situation that happened to me as well! I pulled my credit report a few yrs back only to find out someone had used my name. The person even had listed an address in a town in which I NEVER resided! It was hard as heck to get it taken care of!!!! Credit Bureaus don't do their job & will get pissed if you challenge them!!! It took me almost a yr to get my situation right!!! God bless you & congratulations!!!!
