Hey, it's Charli! Welcome to Chat with Charli. I seek to share my life experience to help black millennials go from frustrated to flourishing!
Today I share my personal tips on how to grow and flourish as an individual while you're married.
It's so easy to loose yourself in marriage or in a relationship. If you're not careful having children, being a stay at home mom or dad and other life events can take hold and before you know it you've lost yourself, and you don't know what to do.
Allow me to share 5 ways that you can stay true to you, and not loose yourself in marriage:
#1 Maintain your confidence
#2 Have a self-care routine
#3 Maintain your hobbies/gifts
#4 Build relationships with people outside of your marriage
#5 Embrace changes in your spouse and yourself
If you do these 5 things I believe that you will be well on your way from frustrated in marriage to flourishing. Marriage is not easy, and you can quickly just go with the flow and not be experiencing joy in marriage. But, there is hope.
I hope you enjoy this time of sharing.
Please make sure that you check out my website www.chatwithcharli.com to learn more about my perspective on everything from personal growth, marriage, and parenthood all from the lens of a black millennial.

Thank you Sooo much for this video. It is really so on point on where I am right now in my 25th year of Marriage. I grew up in an abusive home, then foster care, then into multiple relationships, and a nursing career, … All giving of myself, and people pleasing coping skills, that I’ve never felt comfortable in my own skin or really knowing ME. Now I’m at a crossroads, feeling a strong desire to be more of me, whatever that looks like, while staying true to my marriage. I’m not sure what parts of me to pull back to myself and what any new parts would look/feel like. Thank you. This is Great help. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️

With change and accepting it how do you not think negatively and thinking that the person is growing without you?

Great question. The hard honest truth is, you’ve got to focus more on your growth and not theirs. It will give you a glow that will attract more positivity your way, and may even be a spark in your relationship. ❤️
