9:36 - Less "Rey Palpatine" and more Mon mothma please? Mon Mothma has a story told across 40+ years. And I don't even think she was in the ST. But every time we see her in a new project(Andor, Rebels, The Clone wars) She is easily my favorite character and the most powerful woman (if not person) in the room. And shes no stronger than Bulma in Dragon Ball. BECAUSE of that story telling, because of the Foils she's up against. You can tell her counterpart is Saw Gurarra someone else is overlooked all the time both with equally interesting stories and 180 degrees from each other. The best part about both of them is they both have a way to solve the problems of the galaxy and they are completely different from eachother. Who was right? Who was wrong? Or did Saw need Mon? and Visa versa ?

Part of what made SW such a beloved concept was the long intermission between episode 6 and the prequel series. In those many years there were lots of books written, comics put forth. There was a market for SW content which was not satisfied by the original creator. It was a sandbox for enterprising authors. This massive amount of lore created depth to the franchise. And only belatedly Lucasfilms integrated these independent content creators into their body of lore. There was even a timeline of content created by independent products put forth by the original creator who decided what would be canon and what was not in order for the reader to perceive it in proper sequence. This admission created the SW universe that is so immersive to this day. And then the new owners consigned that to the dust bin. To make their own thing. And the audience did not like it.

Shortcuts like this aren't real questioning... You just use misdirection to tell people "hate" Star Wars now, it's way more complicated than that. What you do here is literally: "YoUaLlHaTeRs !!!" The reason it's divided, it isn't Star Wars content, or the viewers, it's the bastardization of the franchise, by Disney, to spread political message in all of their shows using Star Wars as decoy. They are so focused on this, they throw away good writing and proper build up. That's why you end with a sequel trilogy totally disconnected, with changes of directors who try to put puzzle pieces together, but can't, because it's not a whole puzzle, but just a throw of various pieces, for example. And we end with things like "Somehow, Palpatine returned". Here, the Acolyte, it's mostly bashed because of everything said trough interviews and promotion from Leslye Headland and Amandla Stenberg, and how the show is build by and around them, instead of creating content about Star Wars, they use Star Wars to promote their own agenda. That's also why we end with things like Snow White becoming Latino and feminist, but still telling this is the story of Snow White. Cultural appropriation, bastardization of IP, unnecessary quotas, rewriting characters, race swap, overdose of feminism, anachronism... That's some of the reasons "fans" got angry. This is not about changes, after all, prequels had Midichlorians, it was really disliked concept, but fans accepted it in the end, because, it was an idea, not an agenda, and it was not really consequential for the plot, unless things like "plot needs this for this situation change", like Leia surviving in Space Vacuum because some Force ability, meaning the Force, can now do whatever the plot needs, without restrains. People also get tired to see things like being stabbed by lightsaber isn't lethal anymore, to the point you can come back after a day of rest, like in Ahsoka. Just saying... There is way more explications in details about why people dislike current Star Wars, than shortcuts could tell.

I really don't understand the love for Rogue One. It's a mediocre film with a main character who literally flip flops her motivation like 4 times throughout the film. She has no agency in her own story until the third act that comes from nowhere. And she's generally a boring character. To stack the rest of Star Wars female leads against her isn't really a high standard. Seriously, I don't get it. Rogue One is just as bad as any other product from Disney. It carries all the same inclusivity markers

The simplicity thing is a trait shared by a lot of modern media. Fast and the Furious, Avengers, Spider-Man (MCU and Sony), and James Bond all do that. Heck, the new Top Gun didn't even have the balls to name their villain. This is not a Star Wars thing. Also, Star Wars was political long before Disney took over. Also, another side note, Top Gun is one of the most political movies made last year. It's fun as hell, but it's essentially a 2 hour long commercial for the US military. It could not be more political. There is even a comically huge American flag that basically has "I am political" written on it. And what is the argument here. I don't want "politics" in my movies? These 'politics' is basically including people who aren't white men. Do you think that it was an accident that white men dominated media, by far and away, for decades? That it was "normal" but only now there is an agenda? No. Not at all. There has always been an agenda. It was a conscience decision to exclude anyone who isn't white and to belittle females in media. That's an agenda. It's just an agenda you're on board with because you agree with it, or you saw it since you were a kid and just assume that is "how it is". But I'm sorry, there has always been agenda, and if you don't see it, then that is part of the problem. Now, Disney's storytelling is not good in other ways, but the 'politics' of their films is not the problem. Lastly, Disney doesn't give a shit about any of this stuff. Their agenda is too make money. That's it. Plain and simple. The Board of Directors care about black and red, not white or black. What actually goes in the movie to make that happen is completely irrelevant to them.

Why do you care about diversity so much? "Because Diversity is everything!" Wrong, reason is everything. Reason is life. "Well... you just..." Wrong, reason is everything. Reason is life. "Well... we do have..." Wrong, you have zero reason. You surmount solely to diversity for diversity's sake. Not reason. Not what matters. Diversity is like freedom. Without reason, it is utter garbage. Reason is the only thing that matters. Nothing else. Everything else could cease to exist and life would still be grand. Without reason, there is nothing of value at all. Reason is basically God. Synonymous as far as you should be concerned. Reason is God's actual name. Not Jehovah, not Yahweh, not Allah, not Buddha, not YHWH, not anything else, just Reason. That is how significant Reason is. It is God.
