I was pointing out that during the 2000s and early 2010s (as the video points out) they were considered a cheap and low quality brand, and not really "mainstream." I remember back in the early 2000s when I was a kid in school Champion was a Walmart brand and kids would make fun of you if you wore some to school. Under Armour was the cool thing to wear back than. But no its the opposite and I was surprised when I seen more and more people wearing their clothes, its wild how fashion works.

@@Darkest_matter Under Armour was big in sports uniforms in early 2000s. I remember they used to sponsor the University of Maryland football team and the Baltimore Ravens in 2003 I think. I remember them bc I played on my middle school football team back than and I wanted some Under Armour gear. Kids in my school would wear UA compression shirts like regular shirts but yeah they didn't have hoodies, regular shirts, and shorts yet. Back than they only had items to wear under football uniforms and cleats.

i was rocking walmart champion hoodies and SAM's club champion hoodies before it got hyped up. they were of decent quality and cost less than 18$ for a hoodie! now you can't get a champion hoodie for less than 30$. SAME hoodies, just cost more and they are no longer at Walmart or SAMS club...

Good video but you COMPLETELY skipped Pyrex Vision (2012-2013) Virgil Abloh's first steeetwear project before Off White. The collection was printed on Champion gear. It was not an official collab, but the fact that the Champion patches on the shirt sleeves, hoodies, and shorts definitely put Champion back on the map. I'd bet that without Pyrex, there wouldn't have been a Supreme collab.
