It is never stated that Moff Gideon defeated Bo-Katan. Bo-Katan implies the darksaber was stolen from her. Moff Gideon was ISB so he has combat prowess but ISB are not in the league of a war veteran Mandalorian. He likely used a squadron of Death Troopers or Dark Troopers to overpower her and steal the blade. He literally tries to sneak attack Din Djarin so he has proven he is an underhanded fighter rather than a capable warrior. If he was capable of winning the blade from Bo-Katan its pretty likely he wouldn't need to resort to dirty fighting to attempt to defeat Din Djarin.

Imagine the crossover movie just came out. First scene: Thrawn beats Din Djarin in a fight. Thrawn then wields the Darksaber for most of the movie. Luke and Ahsoka both try to fight, but Thrawn is too skilled with the Darksaber. Then Grogu walks up to Thrawn, force chokes him, and takes the Darksaber.

As a FiloniVerse fan, I don’t mind the mixed up shows. In fact, I’d actually love if they just combined all of the shows set in the same time period to one series like Clone Wars. I liked that Clone Wars would jump around to different characters and even different times and show what was happening all over the galaxy. I’m a bit disappointed that Boba had his story seemingly cut short and might not get more of a show, but I didn’t mind having Mando episodes. Just make it a 24 ep season and combine the shows into one.

Eventually Grogu after mastering the force(50 years from now), starts the first Mandalorian Jedi temple. They become the best version of both cultures; Jedi force weilders with Mandalorian fighting prowess. Their cultures compliment and balance the other, sword(lightsaber) & Shield(Beskar armour)

@@tjk3430 City Primeval is a limited series… I mean, this is all super loose conjecture to begin with, but if they are trying to get Olyphant as the new lead on Rangers that would explain why they haven’t just canceled the show. And also why we haven’t heard anything about it other than, definitively LucasFilm is no longer employing Gina Carano and they’re probably not recasting her character (at least not with Lucy Lawless). Which means they’re either gonna write her out or just continue to ignore her existence entirely… they claim they hadn’t written any scripts for her when she got canned and Cobb Vanth was probably gonna fill out the supporting cast on that show anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’m just looking at the same paltry amount of information that’s available on this show and connecting some dots.

Thank you! There has been so much criticism just because of a title choice. But this larger story is like the Lord of the Rings. Sure, it starts with the Hobbits in the Shire, but how much of the hobbits do you see in the second and third books? There is a MUCH larger story being told, characters will pop in and out of the storylines of each major character. So what. I trust these show runners and will let them tell their story without being so judgmental. They are making good Star Wars. Enjoy the ride!

No, Rian Johnson should be banned from making Star Wars movies for breaking rules within the universe multiple times in his singular film. He doesn't have enough understanding of the universe and the stories within it to do them with a level of respect or engage the user base with the rules they are familiar with to make it feel cogent. He gave it a try, bastardized everything, and now needs to sit in the timeout corner and work on his other projects. I say that when I know he directed and assisted in the writing of 'Brick' which is a great movie. I think the mandalorian is about grogu. There’s so much importance on him there’s so much mystery surrounding his species and him, his species is clearly special. But more importantly now that grogu is back with din jarin and has his own beskar chain mail he is truly a foundling just like din was. There really is no need for grogu other than being an adorable traveling companion. The show could certainly couldn’t have done without grogu. He’s going to be around for a third season now. They could skip some time starting in season 4 or 5 and see an older grogu considering the short seasons I think there will be plenty. And maybe grogu will start his own little force sensitive esoteric group

It’s all leading to Heir to the Empire, but with Snoke in place of Joruus C’Baoth, Boba Fett in place of Talon Kardde (and eventually the new Mandalore), and with Ahsoka, Ezra, young Ben Solo and the Knights of Ren. Basically and epic crossover event that features Thrawn, converges the various series, and fills in what didn’t see in the Sequel Trilogy like Snoke’s origin and past with Luke & Ben and getting to see the Knights fleshed out.

Awesome to see someone having the same view. I've been peddling my theory as Grogu becoming the main villain around a bit but have no feedback so far. It really seems to me that they are building up Grogu to become the main villain in future Star Wars movies. There are these subtle hints to it throughout the shows, him eating living animals, that force choke on Cara Dune, instant gratification issues (wants something, doesn't take no for answer like in the end scene in BoBF and he uses the force to get it like the cookies he stole when in that day care) and of course choosing Din over Luke (dark side over light side??). Story wise he is on a similar arc as young Anakin was on, a very cute child that is strong in the force and in attachment and that has known hardship early on in life. But story wise the writers now don't have the issue of the audience knowing this child will turn to the dark side, which will make it more thrilling and possibly even understandable.

Same. I’ve been having a theory for a while now. One of Mandalores biggest problems is they lack stability. It’s almost like there’s always a power vacuum that’s trying to be filled constantly. Since Grogu is a powerful force user and can live a millennia, he could be the one to lead Mandalore into the second Mandalorian Crusade and rule the Galaxy for a bit.

An excellent analysis. All of these stories are interconnected. They do not exist as discreet entities separate from each other; which is why, as you alluded to, it does make sense when Boba Fett, or for that matter any character sometimes makes a cameo in their own series. Was The Book of Boba Fett perfect, no. But it was more than a worthy addition to the Star Wars Universe, and it most definitely deserves a second season. The biggest threat to any of these characters, and their stories is not the Dark Side, but fan girls and fan boys who demand their own version of perfection in real time as they watch a given episode. That is a force The Jedi, The Mandalorians, and Cad Bane are powerless against, even if they bring along a herd of Rancors.

Reys father was a Palpatine clone perfect in body but flawed in the force They might try and use the blood to awaken force powers in Reys father. If you look at the time line I would not be surprised if these series will eventually include characters meeting Reys father and helping him to hide away on Jakku.

Nothing ever says that the dark saber has to be won from the person who won it before. Just that it has to be won in combat. Din Djarin won it from Gideon. So he’s it’s master. It’s doesn’t have any magical properties. The power it holds is symbolic. And the rightful owner of it is just a cultural thing

Great theories but there's no way Dave Filoni will exclude "The Grysk" in The Ahsoka Series. The Filoniverse is known to expand The SW Universe far beyond the films usual Imperial suspects & lore.

I think it would be interesting if the Kenobi series touched on some of the Mandalore plot threads some of the animated shows did. I don't think it will be a wholly separate show; it will touch on the existing D+ shows I think.

Technically... the Unknown regions aren't "hard to get to".... its just "uncharted space". So the galaxy at large doesn't really have records of whats out there....and there aren't well used shipping lanes and what not.
