Hiiii guysss!! I’m very much still in the New Year spirit lolol I just wanted to make a point to say that routines DO NOT need to be perfect! Some weeks we’ll follow them to a tee and some weeks will most definitely throw us curve balls!! This video is for the people who just feel a little lost in the sauce with their goals! It’s sooo easy to set goals but it’s so hard to figure out how we can execute them! I’m proud of all the work you’re putting in this year! Rooting for you ALWAYS 🫶🏾 see y’all on Sunday!!

You said something on a recent video about now being afraid of being uncomfortable so I did the unthinkable and set my alarm for 630am to get my workout in before taking my kids to school. I have a pretty ridiculous schedule as a full time night shift worker and a single mom of four so this is definitely eating into my already limited sleep about an hour but it has been a game changer in my day to day. I really didn’t think I could do it but I did and I’m loving it.

This video has given me so much energy and motivation! As someone who deals with the constant noise in my head from ADHD, I really need routines. I appreciate that you not only explained why routines are important but also walked us through your routine and how it makes you feel on a deep level. One of the reasons we don't stick to routines is because of how they make us feel. We're emotional beings, after all. Thank you for sharing your insights!

I wake up at 5am since last year and it always pisses me off when people are like "Why do you wake up that early?", I wake up early because I want to start the day working on my self, with affirmations, gratitude, meditation... I like starting my day with good energies and it's awesome and make my day much better.

one of the things i struggle with is ROUTINE even though i knoooowwww it would help my brain tremendously by getting rid of all the extra thoughts and choices that need to be made during the day. i'm similar to you with adhd and a lot of people that have the type of mind that jumps from task to task have said that making it a muscle memory to do these small things that could be a lifestyle could open up a lot of space because you'll be doing it without realizing while worrying about what you really want to worry about. this year, i'm so serious about hammering down my priorities!! thanks for these advices c:

When you talked about people's perspective of sacrifice it really reminded me of what just happened in my life. I'm 27 and I got accepted into a college and I'll be living in a dorm again. And though this is amazing achievement. One of my auntie's reaction really did bomb me out briefly. I didn't let that woman sell my joy completely. But it still hurt because she treated it as if I shouldn't be proud of myself.

I feel like there's such a misconcept about making changes within your life. It doesn't have to be done all at 1 time... do it a few times a wk, and before you know it those few times a wk will flow into more times a wk, and then the next thing you know you've slowly acclimated into change and routine to 7 days a wk. This was a thought that I had in mind a few months ago, but sometimes it hits a bit different when someone else says it! I needed to see this video 🙏

I wrote out this exercise and wasn't surprised by the results. Being a full-time working mom of 2 boys under 6, I have an hour and 45 minutes of time for me to spend time with my husband, exercise, and do anything for myself each weeknight and thats IF the boys bedtime goes smoothly! Weekends are still busy, but I think that's where I need to build in time for these things more. I can't sacrifice my sleep. That's a non-negotiable in my life because I don't get quality sleep. Progress not perfection! Love this and its also a great book by Emily Ley. 😊

I never thought of that… but I will try to treat all my pursuits as if they were a medical degree. I also appreciated the point on how we know ourselves best… being a teen and loving my parents so much makes me nervous about doing things they don’t do: like waking up at 4 or 5😂, but I am definitely going to try to add that to my routine and see the results.

Love!! I watch & read a lot of self-improvement content and your advice is realer and smarter because you break down a process and use what worked for you as an example rather than as the advice itself. So many people say waking up early was a game changer for them but you explain why exactly it works for you and break down how to find what would work for anyone. As for me, I recently discovered scheduling as a tool baseline lol. I've thought a lot about spacial organization and previously not invested in time management. I've been doing major trail and error in all areas of life. I'll go two weeks waking up early to stretch and eat breakfast and then one day sleep in & get out the door in 10 minutes just to notice any differences.

Just coming across this video today and I’m so glad that I did! I never thought about having a strategy to stick to my routine, thank you so much for this! I started this year very heavy and a little out of sorts, slowly but surely I’m getting it together and now with some of these things I’m sure I can achieve my goals this year! Thank you, thank you, love your videos and content❤❤

thank you so much for this video! something that really helps me process information is when there are ways I can simplify things to make it all feel less overwhelming and daunting. making a list of non-negotiables and priorates/bad habits was REALLY helpful. I think for me it makes me feel a little embarrassed just now trying to figure out a routine for myself, especially when everyone around me seems like they have it figured out but, I have to remember that I am finally taking that step to better myself. I also have to remember that not everyone has it figured out, so take any outside factors and forget about them! I'm focusing on me!! :) 💞

I'm new to your channel but I love your content. Thank you for making this video. I caught covid 2 weeks before Xmas last year and then had long covid for 8 weeks after that, so I've gone into 2023 feeling flat and unable to feel the excitement and enthusiasm I normally do. I've written my goals out, made my vision board but I'm not taking any action. I feel frustrated that like you said I audio have allot going on in my head and get overwhelmed so easily then I freeze and procrastinate. My to do list is getting longer, my time is not being used productively at all. Yesterday all I did was the grocery shop and I wanted to do so much more. Cleaning and organising tasks for myself just never seem to get done. I have been needing help, looking for a routine, a system to help me.

As a productive girly in the making, this was exactly what I needed. Your video has yielded many notes for myself and quotes from yourself ( wish I could attach a photo)! You have given great advice and are truly insightful. I resonated with every word. Thank you! This is added to my watch list, now my motivational video!

I relate with this video on so many levels, knowing that somebody out there has similar issues as I do is somewhat encouraging. I'd like to publicly put out things I wanna work on that way I'll feel uncountable. 1. I stopped uploading videos on KZbin over a year ago because of fear of been different or failing to thrive. 2. I'm in medical school and I almost never try anything out and use medical school as an excuse 3. I've always wanted to start working out, I signed up to a gym last December I only showed up for 5 days straight never went back again 😂. Every single day I found an excuse not to go. I'm gonna listen to this video a second time and take notes this time.
