How to Butterfly jump | Tutorial
Hi everyone after a long leg recovery since I fractured my fibula I’m happy to share with you another jump tutorial.
In my humble opinion it's important to understand a few details for successful butterfly jump understanding:
1. Upper body round swing
2. Kicks
3. Hollow body while jump
4. Descent stomach to jump thigh before take off.
At this video you’ll find these drills and progressions of how to approach to a butterfly jump.
Kicks, turns and other coordination moves for your horizontal plane skills.

Finally ONE youtuber who understands that people want as short and informative videos as possible. I'll stay as long as the videos remain like this. The music was a bit annoying though. But 9/10 for information:video length ratio

We had to do this in class and I couldn’t quite get it. Swinging your torso right down will definitely help. I’ll try this 👌

To me it’s really arms + side down(not too low though) torso swing and then legs repeatedly kicking the same trajectory

Now I'm going through it I'm making each drill symetrical by turning the into a walk (first two) and also reversing rottion for floor drill. Feels really nice. I sent you an email some time Michael, don't know if your read it. If you are still available for online coaching I would love to book an hour at your normal rate via skype if possible. Say in a fortnight when I have worked on this to the best of my ability and wont be wasting your time. Also I will be revising and expanding and streamilning the knee sequence as it can be very very thorough. All the best for a great new year from frosty Scotland. 😀
