@@AbdelAziz0205 try doing 3 jumps on your right leg then switching to the left one, once you're confident get down to two jumps per leg, then one, then start relaxing... You'll get there (or sign up in a boxing gym, there you'll do so much rope jumping that you'll have no other choice but learn 😂)

A few questions. First is there a way to weigh my jump rope? I got it from my elementary school. 2nd is a 1ounce or 2 ounce rope better, I plan on just jumping rope and trying to get as fast as I can. And 3 what's the difference between my jump rope from schools and the ones in your description considering there the same weight. I measured it and it's a perfect size for me. I'm considering buying one but want to make sure I can do half decent with what I got. I'm also working on building some muscle. In the future when my form is good, I will also get a 1-2pound rope.
@JumpRopeDudes
@JumpRopeDudes 6 жыл бұрын
colin hamilton - You can weigh your rope with scale. We prefer (and suggest) to start with a heavier rope. 4+ oz. the weight provides feedback will help you find your bounce faster. 1 oz and 2 oz ropes have their place, but when just getting started they can make things more challenging.
@colinhamilton2490
@colinhamilton2490 6 жыл бұрын
Zen Dude Fitness I weighed my current rope and it about 1.5 ounces. I do think I would like a bit of a heavier rope, and will definitely get a heavier rope than what i got.

Freakin' Boxer Skip, driving me insane. I can comfortably manage around 10 different footpatterns now, and the odd (admittedly clumsy) Double Under, but can I do the Boxer Skip ?? NOOOOOO ! So, as per this video, have gone back to basics, and so during an HIIT interval, of say 1 minute, just doing the foot pattern minus the rope. One day, I say ONE DAY, I will prevail! Keep up the good work Guys ;-)

Woo Hoo, nailed it, finally !! As you guys have mentioned in the various videos, some of the foot patterns are best practised without a rope. Then relatively quickly, it all seems to 'come together' when later using the rope. ;-)

When you're doing the boxer skip here, are you pushing off with your foot (if so which one? The one that taps or the other?)? Or are you just shifting the weight of your feet but not pushing off?
@JumpRopeDudes
@JumpRopeDudes 6 жыл бұрын
rob26b - just do you... "pushing off" is a pretty relative thing.. we're shifting our weight, but pushing off of one foot and landing on the other... sooo yes?
@rob26b
@rob26b 6 жыл бұрын
Ok. But which foot are you pushing off with? For example, if you jump and you lightly tap your left foot, when you go to jump, are you pushing off with the right or left.

is boxer skip supposed to be more taxing on the feet? I can do regular bounce quite strong, but when I give boxer skip a go, I can do less..

No , your impact to the ground should always be short so any move shouldn't hurt your feet if you are doing it right

Hey, this looks like the rope is gonna get caught to the foot that is on the floor. Are we passing the rope under one foot only?🤔
