I drink Uruguayan yerba the same way (except the finishing, I just flood it) because the position of the filter the Brazilians use makes it very easy

Can you make a video on how to grow yerba mate plant anywhere in the world
@MyFriendDevАй бұрын
Vlw my friend
@yerbamatelabАй бұрын
Haha that's crazy! But I don't add more erva. I keep refilling until everything is steeped and loses flavor. This usually lasts 1 to 1.5 liters. Sorry if I'm not answering your question right, I'm using a translator

@nathanrochapy6no216Ай бұрын
Sometime little bitter, but very taste. You maybe increment with a some other tea (black tea ...) or piece a of tangerine or orange. Delicious. Enjoy your chima🧉🧉

Look at any recent respectable study. Mate doesnt increase your risk of cancer
@groove279920 күн бұрын
@@dwinkley “In various cancer models, mate compounds exhibited proteasome (8) and topoisomerase (9) inhibitory properties, as well as anti-inflammatory and apoptotic effects (10) (11). However, no large-scale clinical studies have evaluated safety and efficacy of mate in humans. Further, epidemiologic data show that chronic mate drinkers are at an increased risk of prostate (12), bladder (13) (14) (15), esophageal (16) (17), lung (18), and head and neck cancers (19). This risk appears to be additive when combined with chronic alcohol or tobacco use (20). Evidence also suggests that drinking very hot mate contributes to its carcinogenic effects (33), although consuming large amounts can increase risk regardless of temperature (36).” www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/integrative-medicine/herbs/mate

What's the difference in test between this and regular yerba?
@leonardopab5Ай бұрын
There is no "regular" yerba. The mate herb is prepared differently in depending on the country. Southern Brazil, where is is most produced and consumed, prepares the mate by quickly blazing the leaves and letting them dry in room temperature or slightly warm temperature for several hours. Some mate producers even smoke the herb. Then, the leaves go to the pounding process. The one you see in the video is Brazilian traditional mate for chimarrão. You can see it is very fine grain. There are other types of consuming mate in Brazil. It is slightly different from Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. I hope this clarifies a little. In Brazil, most of the country consumes toasted mate leaves, iced with fruit juice. This is the form that mate is mostly consumed in the world so far because 200 million Brazilians drink mate that way. So if you ask me for the "regular" mate, I would give you the toasted mate leaves from Mate Leão brand. But for a Gaúcho from southern Brazil, he would prepare the chimarrão like the one in the video.
