I came here to troubleshoot. I got yerba mate teabags because it's a coffee replacement...my mate isn't bitter. Even overextracting it isn't leading to any bitter. Everyone on the net fusses about it being bitter so did I get the wrong tea? It tastes like unsalted miso soup or unsalted mushroom broth- super savory....but not bitter. I'm brewing at 170F so maybe it's me. 🧐
