I love watching Branch Warren workout videos. Say what you want about his technique or methods, but you can't deny he goes all out balls to the wall when training, and I love that intensity. It fires me up. None of this do one set, update social media on your smart phone for 10 minutes (while still sitting on the bench or machine), then do another set nonsense you typically see at your local gym.

@muscleandstrength5 жыл бұрын
Keto is not conducive to bodybuilding. You need carbs and protein to build muscle optimally. If there's ever an elite keto ifbb pro, their genetics will be out of this world... and they wouldn't be tapping into their true potential with a less than optimal diet for bodybuilding.
@liammcleod1595 жыл бұрын
Muscle & Strength I know you need carbs to replenish the muscles after workouts, but surely it would be possible to make up more of the calories from fats rather than carbs
@muscleandstrength5 жыл бұрын
@@liammcleod159 Sure, it could be possible... it's just not ideal for the sport or goal at hand
@tunafishmaki5 жыл бұрын
@@liammcleod159 iirc there's actually evidence that keto is better for building lean muscle vs conventional diets, but I think the issue comes with glycogen depletion from heavy and high volume work and workout endurance. carb cycling seems to be a really good middle ground but 100% keto is probably difficult
@muscleandstrength5 жыл бұрын

@muscleandstrength5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the insight
@ChristAliveForevermore5 жыл бұрын
While your conditioning is important, the 'bubble gut' that you see on the Olympia stage is strictly caused by the insulin drugs that they take. Also, a low carb - high protein diet whilst in a caloric deficit is what keeps the fat off the gut.
