Good thing about SuperCheapAuto that they are sponsoring you. Your videos are good in any way.

The Black looks better. I reckon the same colour as the old WRX WRC gold wheels would have looked ok maybe. Congrats on the supercheap sponsorship. Its a great channel, highly deserve it

Looks good but I would have done the original gold colour from the impreza... Think the colour code is GK1

I know it's been a couple of years since you made the video, but will still comment - I like the black better than the gold. Before I knew the color I thought black or dark grey would look nice.

Loving how the impact wrench was in silent mode when you took the wheels off. Almost as if you didn't need it.

fx451Jockey I did mention that it makes it faster. And that it did.
@fx451Jockey6 жыл бұрын
@@customspraymods I take my wheels off the same way, but only because I have a similar wrench already. I wouldn't buy one specifically though. I get what's happening, and you may have removed the wheel several times to make the video etc, and of course you're promoting the store. It was just odd to see a 'rattle gun' not rattling though. :-)

Blue with gold is nice but I think the gold you used here is slightly to dark... Perhaps if you had used a white primer maybe the gold would have been brighter..... On the car they look sorta orange.. I personally am not a fan of black wheels.
@TexanUSMC80894 жыл бұрын
They look great, but the gold wheels don't really go with the blue car...In my opinion. Probably a color matched blue, or black.

Black wheels... ugh. Been there, done that; never an impressive choice. The issue with black is that it only ever looks semi-decent when stationary in bright light, due to the lack of contrast against the tyres and the visual absence of wheels at night. The burnt gold imo looked a lot more interesting, however it was the same intensity as the blue, which was why it seemed off. A better choice for that car would have been BRONZE.

You make it look so easy! :-)

How long you let dry the primer before base coat? And also did you wet sand before base coat?
@CarManiac1256 жыл бұрын
He just let it dry for 30minutes and sprayed his base on. It's what we call a wet on wet coat. The primer is still soft enough that the base coat can bite in and stick

@customSprayMods - Noticed your wearing a cartridge mask, from training my old man did not that long ago, they don't cut it when spraying 2k due to the isocyanates being able to penetrate the mask's filtration (If your spraying non isocyanate 2K then ignore this) www.hse.gov.uk/mvr/bodyshop/myths/myth3.htm - UK health and safety executive link on the subject. multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/777847O/isocyanates-3m-techupdate.pdf If anyone says "nanny state overreacting" The above is from 3M Australia and they concur with HSE Have heard of guys ending up in a bad way from spraying the stuff over time, sensitiser and know of guys who ended up having to change jobs as they ended up so sentised to the stuff and seriously out of breath constantly. AS someone said to me "there are bold tradies and old tradies, you don't tend to find many old and bold tradies"
@amyjeffs32694 жыл бұрын
no reply from the OP for this..and you are correct.The isocyanate in 2k is deadly,so should have been a air fed mask.I really wanted to use the 2k on my own wheels,but after reading up about how isocynate will penetrate a cartridge mask,i just went with 1K.Reading a few stories from people who pissed about with 2k,and ended up in hospital with permanent lung damage,was enough for me to forget it.Increadible really that you can buy 2k cans over the counter,with the general public being blissfully ignorant they could be permanently damaging there lungs..
