I was over weight when I was younger depressed and hated the way I looked , the middle of my sophomore year I decided I wanted to get healthy and just feel good in my skin and lose weight, and I did I was consistent and I lost so many pounds, Im a senior now and I feel better than I did before but now im one of those “skinny girls” the one that needs to eat more 🥩... but I’ve been wanting to gain healthy weight and get toned but I’m scared to eat more because I don’t want to go back to the way I was. I love intuitive eating thanks to Linda sun 😂, she made me not fear food as much but I’m stuck I don’t know we’re to start, I have been eating more protein and been lifting heavier than I did before but I would still love some more advice..

I made myself diy chocolate bountys and snickers. With peanut butter/dates/ coconut etc. Eating a few each day between meals helps a lot. Also: just make yourself more food than you normally would. Chances are if it's already on your plate you will eat it.

I would eat around 1,500 calories a day. Since my mom is too lazy to cook, a normal day would be about 900-1,000 calories. My daily goal of eating 2,000+ calories is a lot but I'm slowly getting there. I started working out at home, no weights, for the past 4 days now. My goal is to be 125-130lbs. I'm currently 113. I'm 5'6", slim, turning 18 in October, and I've always felt like I have too much bone showing which I don't. I hope my weight gain journey works! 🥺

I used to be nearly 120 and now I’m 106. I’ve lost so much weight within the last two years because of Wellbutrin and it just depresses me looking in the mirror now because i keep getting smaller and smaller. High-intensity training like sprint intervals might help with that while still consuming a caloric surplus. You can't do fine-grained spot reduction but I've read a number of papers suggesting that high-intensity physical activity does effectively burn visceral fat in the abdominal cavity, even without a hypocaloric diet (even without being on a calorie deficit). Trunk/abdominal fat tends to be associated with low physical activity and/or poor nutrition. Another thing might be to check your hormones. Hormone imbalances can change the way your body distributes fat and often in a way that leads to more abdominal fat as opposed to places like the thighs and hips.

I'm sorry but I need to correct you 😅 5lbs of muscle and 5lbs of fat still weigh the same. What you're thinking of is that muscle is more dense than fat. Also health care professionals are trained to use BMI in conjunction with other data and it's a very useful tool in a resource limited situation.

Was it your first two weeks doing those particular lifts/motions? You can usually get very rapid beginner gains early on, especially if you already have the training discipline of a seasoned athlete. I also think with beginner gains, it's possible to gain a good number of pounds of muscle early on, especially in the broad muscles like glutes/lats/hams/quads, even without a caloric surplus and possibly even on a deficit. The muscle gains should start to plateau though at which point a caloric surplus will tend to be needed to maintain reasonable muscle growth, and at that point, the bulking cycles will usually add both fat and muscle if you're training regularly.

You are perfect the way you are, please don't feel pressured to change your weight! I personally just felt really skinny, it wasn't really about the number on the scale but it was more about how I didn't really like what I saw in the mirror, so I changed it :)
