"So, if someone is looking at you as not good enough, they are NOT experiencing love". That was a great takeaway for me. I had to enter that into the notepad on my phone to keep with me. That is a total paradigm shift as to how to find out who to get close to, and who not to. It is also provides clues to me for times when I have judgments of others, showing me that there is healing left to be done within myself as well. No lovable person deserves to be unloved, and shown it, just because a lack of sufficient love resides within another person. Thanks for a great message, Debbie. These are awesome insights.

I grew up in a narcissistic family system. A grandiose narc father and a covert passive aggressive mother. Of course, I had no idea of this until decades later when I read your book. It's no wonder why I kept choosing narcissistic women as mates. I always wanted their conditional love. I went through three relationships of love bombing, devaluation then discarding. I never recognized the red flags because i couldn't see them. You opened my eyes. Now I know that I am a very good, loving person who deserves to be treated with love, kindness and respect. I'm 60 now and I hope I can find a centered woman who can love me. Until then, my Beagle is my love sponge. PS: Your book should be required reading for teens and young adults.

You are good enough for yourself and for normal human beings. The problem is that a narcissist behaves like a spoiled 5 years child who gets bored very fast of his favourite toy. If he broke it, he will replace it immediately. If "the toy" gets repaired by itself, he will take it again for a while from the toy box before he throws it away once again. You deserve better.

I do agree with you about happiness. Self - love and happiness some from within.

This was a fantastic vid full of top notch advice. Thank you Debbie once again for speaking words of wisdom that have helped me so much in recovery. I am breathing much more deeply, walking so much more slowly and learning to treat myself and give self love. Started doing some pebble art to place round the home and garden with words of life eg. I am good enough I am beautiful Be ( with a pic of a bee and heart) brave ... happy... etc etc Each time I paint imprints more on the soul. I will get there. I am drying my wings just out of the cocoon :) Have a great day and keep posting!

He was cheating and then left me to go with new supply..,I was the best thing that happened to him and he loved me to the bone yet he discarded me without looking back. But he never tried to make me feel that he was happy. He just cut me off and went into hiding

When they discard you for a new supply … it’s nothing about you personally they’d like too make you think that … it’s because your catching onto their game , now it’s time too find someone who thinks I’m wonderful even if it’s a down grade , sorry but nobody is a downgrade but who could be hood winked , bait & switch and scammed . 😵💫

Or also "HER". Covert narcissisism IS NOT isolated to men. My wife (future ex) showed up as one 4 1/2 yrs into our marriage (we'd been together for the previous nine years)

Thanka Debbie av just listened to a video of katie on the Power of self inquiry and it has amazed at how we allow the disqppointing thot of how the other person treated us control us for very long but they dont have to. Av felt abit silly after going thru the work with her. Thanks I will continue learning its quite enlightening.
