Bang on advice! And you usually get a better price on Carsales than the alternatives, well and truly covering any additional costs that may be incurred on Carsales.

Spot on Nathan! I have advertised on all channels before and by far the most serious and better behaved individuals came from Carsales. The muppets usually came from Gumtree or FB - looking for a bargain! Cheers for watching mate!

Spot on. Its an instant skip for me whenever I see a car advert with a wet driveway in the picture. No matter how good to be true the advert is. Extra negative points when the pictures are shot at a DIY car wash.

Spot on Brian! I forgot about the old 2am Wash n Vac photo shoot! At least they try and present a clean car. I just don't see the logic in not prepping cars well - especially when paying for the ad!!

Yep nothing like seeing a wet car hiding f^&*ed paint. Nearly as bad as a screen capture off a phone that's sideways. Top tips mate.

I reckon I spend about 4 hours a week browsing Carsales despite not being in the market for a car right now! Hopefully I’ll start seeing less ads of filthy cars with drink bottles and phone cables in the cabin. Sincerely, Lucid Dickhead 🙋‍♂️😆

Only 4 hours on carsales? Mate you are doing well haha! I can accept the zero effort ads on gumtree or FB - given they are free. But when people PAY $50 to advertise their car and don't even put in 30 seconds effort to clear out the old maccas coffee cups - Arghhh!!!!!

Another point for dealers. If I see an advert with a pic of the dash cluster, I expect to see it without the fuel light on and the needle ready to break off. Instantly turns a shitbox into a total write off.

There is probably a bit to blame on the prev owner there too I reckon - if you were trading your car in, would you do it with 3/4 of a tank or leave it bone dry. Still I know what you mean - just makes the dealers look like tight arses,

@@MeatballGarage Nup. It's definitely not the previous owners. Every vehicle I have ever inspected and testdriven privately has had more than a fair amount of juice in the tank. Used car dealers will use the trade as their daily until the tank has enough in it for a few joyrides to potential clients and then move onto the next one. Most ordinary people won't think about how much fuel is in the tank when they are trading in. Rookie move of course. Every single car from a used car dealer will have fumes in the tank. I'm talking about wholesalers and places you would find on the Maroondah highway in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne or even in the south east near Warrigal road. Now. I've never had the pleasure of buying a vehicle from a reputable franchised dealer, and when the time comes I will update below and let you know how much fuel was available at handover.

Too many joy riders time wasters they take it for a drive it eventually gets dirty again they pick faults with it and offer low ball prices this is modern times

I hear you mate! The skill is to try and weed em out beforehand by setting some of the expectations up front. I tried selling the Calais a few years back - and copped every scenario you describe!I just had a gut full and pulled from sale. Painful stuff!

Haha nahh i hope to get a few more vids out between now and xmas, especially working on the XW! Feels like ages since i have broken something on that whilst trying to ‘fix’ it ;)
