John, so right .. taking in pants and clothes to the tailor for a fit tweak, what a difference ...even inexpensive clothes look better .. with pants it could be anything .. baggy seat, crotch, length, legs too, ... also fix baggy shirts. Finally, i'm a fan of wearing a fitting sportcoat - dresses you up, slims you down, even over jeans and casual shoes.

The only complaint I have is that the models you use are many, many years away from 40, so it's hard to see what an older man would look like with your ideas. The watch tip caught my attention. I normally wear my FITBIT fitness band, day and night, however when I recently went to a classy dress up event, I swapped it out for a traditional watch. I had not worn this watch for several years. Because I have lost 50 lbs. over the past few years, I had to take out two links, so that it fit proper. It is a solar-powered Seiko, so I also had to charge it on the windowsill.

I greatly appreciate the valuable work you do for men. Your tips are widely respected and universally applicable. Personally, I tend to dress in a more formal and classic manner, prioritizing timeless style over fleeting trends. For instance, I always make sure to wear a sport coat before stepping out. However, that doesn't diminish my enthusiasm for your content. I diligently watch every single video you produce. Another commonality we share is our choice of suit maker, Daniel George. Thank you for consistently delivering informative and enjoyable content.

Great recommendations on the watches. Orient is owned by Seiko and either brands are a great value with style and dependability. Timex Weekender and other selections are such steals for under $50. Personally I think a decent analog watch says a lot about a man and his style. One should own a dress watch and a sport watch in my opinion at a minimum. With a dress watch just buy a black and a brown strap and easily swap out to match outfit.

I totally agree. Many moons ago, I was a high- end Swiss watch aficionado. Even though I couldn't afford any of them. Today, I can, but I now realize that smartwatches just make more sense. To double check myself, I walked half the length of the Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich, checking out the watches in the glitzy stores, but none of them rekindled that fire from years ago. It was then I realized my preference had truly changed. Long live the smartwatch. Plenty of them out there that look classy enough for any occasion.

Classic hats look really cool. But you have to know how to wear them. If you wear them slightly tilted to the side with the brim down a bit in the front you will look cool and mysterious like Humphrey Bogart but if you wear it tilted back with the brim up high in the front you will look goofy.

In the west my complexion is “exotic” and desired, in the east my complexion is average and somewhat unwanted. Skin whitening products, is an industry, that is worth millions a year in the east, same goes with tanning products in the west.

1. Lift weights / workout - That'll fix most of your issues. ALL clothes look better on a fit/in-shape man. 2. Don't be fat - Goes hand-in-hand with point #1. 75%+ of men are overweight, and roughly 50%+ of those considered obese. 3. If you're not in-shape, don't buy an expensive wardrobe. See point #1 and #2. 4. Get a decent haircut. No, Supercuts and Sportsclips do not qualify. Spend the money, trust me. 5. Fix your face - Bad teeth - fix them (no matter the cost). Bad skin / hygiene - clean that shit up. You're a grown ass man - act like it. 6. Stop dressing like a child, or saying 'I don't care how I look'. Saying you're not playing the game is another way of playing the game - a very poor one. If you are a man over forty (hell, probably over 20 or 30) and you're not fat and have muscle tone, you are miles ahead of the 'competition'. The bar for being a top-tier man is so incredibly low in the US, a modicum of effort is all it takes.
