I use Old Fashioned Stone Ground grits from a mill in Georgia, I used your method but was not quite thick enough, can you add a little water and cook longer as they were sticking to the bottom of the pan.
@BlessedRoCooks2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can, but if they were not thick enough, the water isn’t going to make them thicker… As for the sticking to the bottom of the pan, once you turned them on low did you put the lid on while they were cooking and continue to check on them and stir from the bottom( meaning when you stir, make sure that what ever you are stirring with is touching the bottom of your pot) Stir from the bottom every time that you stir the grits… I hope that this helps. Thanks for watching 💕

I am willing to do a grits cook off with any one. I have perfected the art of gourmet grits and there is not any one alive that can touch me.

Could you put a strainer in the sink while washing the drill,because with the time the pipes will be blocked if you don’t have that precaution is an advice only.
Ok but, what about flavoured grits ie: butter or cheese flavored?

You need more water if it’s popping you . Your grits should be slow cooked not popping you

The correct ratio of grits to liquid iis one part grits to 4 parts liquid.
@BlessedRoCooks Жыл бұрын
It sure is, however is you’ll notice, while I am rinsing them, some of the grits are coming out of the pot. Also, there is some water left in the pot after the last rinse. They turned out creamy and delicious 😋 Thank you for watching and commenting. 😊

*Hmmm washing, interesting.. *Ahh there's the milk(I use goat) *Explain non aluminum pan.. * I add chic bone broth to my onion, broc., Spinach, ham(ham is not pink) *I add cheese at end to cool it too.. I lived in warm springs GA for 2 yrs and they used box mix corn bread and biscuits from a tube.. Grits in an individual serve packet, just sad.😮 Non GMO m(pay the extra money) Monsanto ruins good corn.. * Those chems, preservatives, and more are very bad for humans an the government really doesn't seem to care..😮 * go stone ground not quick grits, more fiber an nutrition and give more time an love to eating better non manufactured foods approved by government. " Chefs are the new preventative medicine doctors" and you are a great influencer .. All in all, respectable, thank you for a great vid... Keep up the good work!
