🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴
✅Ingredients
• 3 pounds fresh fruit, prepared
• 1 lemon, zested and juiced
• 2 teaspoons cornstarch
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/3 cup white sugar
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup powdered sugar
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup cold butter, diced
• 1 cup half and half
✅Instructions
00:26 - How to make cobbler filling
01:01 - How to make cobbler topping from scratch
1️⃣ 00:20 - Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2️⃣ 00:26 - In a medium-size mixing bowl, toss prepared fruit with lemon zest and juice, cornstarch, vanilla, and white sugar. Spread fruit out in the 9×13 pan.
3️⃣ 01:01 - In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, and salt. Use a pastry cutter to cut in butter until it resembles a course meal, or pulse it all together in a food processor.
4️⃣ 01:54 - Pour in half and half and stir to form a thick batter.
5️⃣ 02:05 - Scoop the batter in large clumps on top of the fruit to form a nice cobbler crust.
6️⃣ 02:31 - Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.

Thank you! This is the BEST recipe I found on YT THE BEST ! Cobbler are supposed to be topped with some thick batter , it's like a scones / biscuits batter alike .....That makes the top crispy like in between the scones and the biscuits . And the fruits are NOT COOK BEFORE BEING COOK AGAIN TO BAKE THE CRUST .... Cobbler it's NOT A CAKE ON TOP !!!

I made this recipe and it was great! Everyone loved it👍 I didn’t have a food processor, so I used a blender instead😂 and I accidentally put too much vanilla and I had to substitute the half and half buuut it was still amazing. Thx for the recipe😄

Does it work easily in the blender? And also, what did you use instead of half and half? Actually, half and half isn't available in my country, so I rlly need a substitute for it

Eshal's life 101 It took a bit longer to do it in the blender but it got the job done. And for half and half I did almost a cup of whole milk with a couple tablespoons of melted butter.

For the fruit of cobbler can i use sugar substitute or honey instead ? Watching you do this fruit cobbler makes me want to turn this into a crisp, all I'd have to do is use a crisp topping instead of the cake like cobbler topping you used. Loved how you laid out the recipe with short & clear directions in the description area. Think I'll check out some of your other recipes. Do you have a creamy rice pudding recipe ?

I’m making this for Easter and would like to know if I could use frozen fruit instead of fresh. If yes, do I use frozen or thaw? If I that should I drain away the juices or use them? Thank you so much......hey, did you know you’re my favorite?!? Well, you most definitely are.

Hi there. This recipe looks great. I was wondering if I could substitute dark brown sugar instead of powdered sugar? I'm not a fan of powdered and love the caramel notes brown sugar gives. If not no biggie. Thanks. I've tried your other recipes and really enjoyed them.😀👍👋 TY
@Thestayathomechef
@Thestayathomechef 4 жыл бұрын
You could try. You’ll want to replace it with half the amount as powdered sugar is about double the volume as granulated and brown sugar.

Yes, you can, but the end result may a bit runnier since the berries end up having extra moisture once thawed. To compensate for this, double the amount of cornstarch in the recipe.
