I have noticed you have made several different shampoo bars. Which one do you like the most? I plan on making several to see what mine is. I do like that we can add all different goodies and change it up. Thanks for sharing this video.

Hard to say which is my favorite. I tend to formulate things that I need at that moment, so this one is good for adding shine to hair. At the moment it is my favorite. Just depends on what you want from the bar. Hope that helps.

Thanks for sharing! Been looking for ways to use scs as that's an ingredient i purchased before knowing anything and when looking it up I've found not very many people use it. In videos anyway. I think I've seen bubble bath with it also.

Can we swap out the wheat protein for rice or baobab with the same %? And can I use Polyquaternium 7 instead of the Keratin at the same %?

@paulinesmith8380 Great questions! Yes, you can swap wheat protein for rice or baobab protein at the same percentage-they’ll both provide excellent hair benefits. As for using Polyquaternium-7 instead of Keratin, that’s totally fine too, and you can use it at the same percentage. Just keep in mind that Polyquaternium-7 focuses more on conditioning and detangling, while Keratin helps strengthen the hair. I haven’t personally worked with Polyquaternium-7 before, so I can’t speak to how it will behave in this recipe, but it’s definitely worth experimenting with! Hope this helps!

is Sodium Coco Fatty Alcohol Sulfate the same with Sodium Coco Sulfate? If not can SCFAS be an alternative use for SCS?

I have never worked with Sodium Coco Fatty Alcohol Sulfate (SCFAS), but it should work as a substitute. If you decide to use SCFAS instead of SCS, it's essential to check and adjust the pH of your formulation accordingly. Shampoo bars typically work best within a specific pH range to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with the skin and hair. conduct testing to ensure the effectiveness and safety of your shampoo bar recipe. Hi @marijamilovanovic9171! Yes, you can use BTMS-25 in a shampoo bar, but keep in mind it has less conditioning power compared to BTMS-50. It should still work well, but the final bar might be slightly less conditioning. Give it a try and see how it works for you! 😊
