My mouth is watering, I wish I could eat it but I can't at the moment! I 've been bed ridden for over a year because of severe multiple sclerosis. I can't cook but I live in Cambodia where a family of angels is taking care of me. I can only eat soft rice or bobo (rice soup) with potatoes and occasionally tofu. I used to love cooking and even if I can't do it now, it cheers me up to watch your healthy recipes. My angels here make vegan curry for me, mashed potatoes, tomato soup and sauce (I was born and raised in Italy) and they give me white wheat baguettes. I really miss pasta but my angels only eat rice and rice pasta or noodles. To spoil me, they give me a rice coconut milk cake called "nomcha" or other tradiional Khmer take away desserts. They have no blender and no passion to stay in the kitchen to prepare food so everything they cook must be super easy and locally grown which is great for my health but I still have cravings. Before I got sick, which is a way for the Divine to save my life, I was buying raw cacao and freshly made palm sugar to mix in a blender with some bananas, my homemade soy milk and a few peanuts (my best smoothy). I love learning and preparing food from scratch but at the moment, I can only dream about it. I am over 50 with the heart of a teenager, I 've always helped everyone I met on my path but now that the roles are reversed, it's so difficult to let others help me! The Divine is trying to teach me to let go of control because every time I try something, I achieve the exact opposite. The Divine is showing me that I don't have to worry about anything and must proceed with faith focused only on the here and now. I am not saint, I've had hysterical crisis, broken dishes, push down a motorcycle despite my disabled body and throw food away. The madder I got, the worsen the situation until I finally got it. Everything is a mirror of my thoughts and feelings so the more I got worried about my food the worse it tasted - sometimes plain disgusting! Luckily, I practiced meditation in a monastery in Myanmar where I learned to focus on my feelings and relax myself until the Divine takes over. I still have a long way but I'm getting better! Thank you for lifting up my spirit. By the way, when I saw your meat I instantly thought of "ravioli" or dumplings. Have you tried making them? A big hug! 😁💖🤗😉🙏😊
