Thank You Andrew! I got my job and start 19 September 2022. My interviewer asked me why I was leaving my small business food truck. When I explained how the past few years have been pretty hard on the food business, I also explained to him that I was a partner with a couple of Mexican Brothers. Not being compensated for the formation of the company, consulting and hours was the basic reason. He chuckled and told me that if I could handle 20 years in the Army and run a successful Mexican restaurant, I would be a great fit. Your videos are wonderful and inspiring. Thanks!

OMG Andy! #bootcamper here. I’ve watched soooo many of your vids, but this came at the right time for me. I’m working on a project and the four other branches in my company, across the US, are blind in the woods. I’ve been in process of taking my leverage and expertise and sharing with the company. Found the vid at the perfect time. Your bootcamper for life, Mike

What a great story of integrity, hard work, intelligence and character being rewarded! I had experienced that in one area, but not in my current expertise. Now they don't realize it until it takes 2-3 people to do my job or pay 2x the salary. Many in healthcare have experienced this phenomenon. Hold on to what is right and turn this world around!

@@andylacivita Thanks for the Answer Andy! I follow your advice and, as with all good things, adapt it to my values and way of doing things. I dont go for long hour weeks, I try to work around my life schedule. But that luxury only occurs AFTER I have made myself valuable to the team, and they trust me (not just management, everyone).

Andy I'm so glad I found your channel! I miss working so much. The last year I have been in training in the medical field as a front office patient service representative but I am actively seeking a remote position to protect my health as I have chronic migraines. I have over a decade experience as a temp to hire professional admin assistant and customer service position and always have been a "Jill of all Trades" kind of employee. I am trying to break into a new industry and not getting any nibbles but know I will be a great fit especially as an empath, I can really help customers be calm and informative of their upcoming medical appointments so I feel I can be of service to them. I'm not willing to give up remote position however because my health is very important to me. But I have so much experience to offer them I'm just having trouble communicating that experience to potential hiring managers. I feel stuck but I know I can be so valuable to them. This video helped thank you! But wondering if you had any guidance to career changers with a positive heart how to get the income we deserve as hard working professionals.

Andy, another solid video! Thanks. What would you recommend be some possible strategies/solutions to the following: *in relation to being indispensible 1) Not being agile enough. I.e. Prioritising rigour over faster paced work. 2) Being the grit in an oyster and challenging Snr stakeholders about risk, where ego's are present. The aim is to be indispensable but tackle these two approaches that could end up contributing towards "dispensable"

Steve, what you were citing is going to be specific to the company. I would consider those more related to the cultural values and traits an employer wants. Meaning, one employer might want versatility, and another employer want somebody to be very process oriented. Evaluate those traits in the interviewing process to determine which one the employer favors!

@@andylacivita thanks for the clarity, this seems to make a lot of sense. It's not easy though, trying to get future employers to be transparent when sadly what some say is not what some do.

Hi Andrew, I have two questions, do you provide an installment program, please? Secondly, how do you handle the question after meeting the C Suite leader "tell me where do you fit in our organization, tell me what you want to do?" Should I craft my own JD ?

So being the person they come to when need help is a good sign ? And been told that everyone likes me for my personality!? I WORK in a team , but our tasks are spread across the board, I dont ask questions no need to be hold by hand, figuring out my stuff alone amd do it faster then others, is that a good sign too!?

Unfortunately this culture isn’t special anymore, you can easily work 50-60+ hours a week owning projects and running the show in your 20’s and management don’t give a crap. In 2022 not 1995

Management will not "give a crap" probably because you dont have the exposure right now. They probably give a crap about your manager, who is likely to be delivering all good news in person, about how he is managing a great team of 20 somethings owning projects and working 60 hours a week! You need not only performance but also exposure! Get yourself out there! All the best!
