How to paint a ceiling

Great video and I enjoy your work. Please I have a white matt ceiling and magnolia walls, I just want to repaint the ceiling if possible. How do I cut in near the wall/ceiling edge from the ceiling only? Or just overpaint the wall/ceiling with the white matt and then cut in the wall with the magnolia but I am trying to avoid repainting the walls, so will the new magnolia blend in? If you wanted to repaint a ceiling that had a woodchip sort of paper on it already painted white, would you sand it down before painting ?

Not really depends if it got loads of bits in the paint on the previous coats. Always dust and wipe with a damp cloth... Sometimes you can give them a light sand, without damaging the paper. Thanks

If you were painting the ceiling of a narrow corridor (not much more than door width) would you still roller across the width or along the length?

You may get a better finish width ways, easy to lay off and keep up with the drying edge. thanks

what about the big patch on the wall exposing the plaster how did you seal that did you use a primer like Zinsser

It depends where I'm at when I buy them. Use different ones Harris,,, Pro Dec,, Hamilton

Can I use this paint for a bathroom ceiling?

Me too. That's why I I'm subscribed to your channel. What ever makes the job easier! Have you got a preference on what type of caulking you use internally that cures well without causing issues?

No not really try to keep away from it if I can. If the is no movement I use powder filler which you can paint the same day. I use caulk more so outside in good conditions. Brown caulk is good up near brick.
