Thank you so much for your vlogs. I’ve only just had my ninja and still coming to terms with it. My chicken roast on Sunday using your method was gorgeous. Pressure cooking scares me but not so much now after this vlog. Thanks again.x

That's great it helps a little. It's just basics but I thought worth sharing. I actually now find that some of my best food from the Ninja is pressure cooked. Really pleased you like the Roast Chicken - its so quick it becomes a bit of a staple recipe

I think we were all the same when that box arrived and we had no idea on how to cook anything in it!! Hopefully my recipes will help you to build basics that you can enjoy then I'm sure you'll start experimenting. I recommend the Steam Air Fryer Whole Chicken as a good start and basic rice - you'll then get confident and it will all fall into place

@@susannahskitchen thanks for taking the time to reply. Was going to use slow cooker for a well tested recipe but may try pressure cooking it first... maybe 🤣🤣

@@robfish1318 think of pressure cooking as fast slow cooking…. As tender and as much flavour with less time

a smashing tutorial susanna, really informative. especially on the steam release , and i agree there is something special with the mash in the pressure cooker. i would like to ask , does the keep warm function only work after you have cooked something or can it be used later . i wanted to keep something warm a little while after i had used the ninja, but i couldnt get it switched on , would love your input

Good question…. Use BUFFET (here’s how) SELECT SLOW COOK Change from HIGH to BUFFET and set the time required… doesn’t matter what you have in the pot it will keep it warm at for the desired time x

I made bœuf bourguignon in it. It's a French recipe but so tender. Ready in 25 min, on the stove it will take more than 2 hours.

Thank you for this video, I had a pressure cooker & I was always scared to use it. But with Ninja it’s very easy & clear) And have you dehydrated some meats or vegetables en it? I haven’t seen any advise en the guide 😥
@susannahskitchen Жыл бұрын
Hi, I haven’t dehydrated yet apart from some apple crisps.I think im scared I’ve ruining an expensive piece of beef. So many mixed reviews online. I think I’m going to try a beef fillet steak and compare it to a grilled piece and video it. See how it goes x

in your roast gammon joint video… you say to use a quick release? Is that right?
@susannahskitchen11 ай бұрын
I think if you are using the probe and it’s got to temperature by releasing the pressure quick it stops it overcooking. However normally with meat I would suggest a natural release to keep it tender

Isn't the element in the lid exposed to the liquid while pressure cooking? I'm looking for something to speed up the process of making chicken stock and i usually make at least 5 litres at a time, which I imagine would boil and come into contact with the fan/element in the lid.
@susannahskitchen9 ай бұрын
There is a max line in the pot so you wouldn’t be able to go above that
@wolverine0059 ай бұрын
@@susannahskitchen What is the volume of the max line? The device is advertised as 7.5 litres but I'm assuming that is the total volume of the pot. Thanks for the reply.

It's 6 litres (24 cups)
