Almost half year at straddle now and I can say - everything you said completely match my conclusions during the last half year! Thank you, seems I am on the right way! Recently started doing Full FL negatives but got to a conclusion that I'd better go back doing straddles and try to increase the time and quality there. At 5-7 sec of good form in the good days.

@@baligo3760 Glad I could help man! Well done, you're almost there! Yeah having a strong straddle front lever will definitely make it easier to progress to the full one. Then slowly over time you can work on bringing your legs together. Good luck!

This is normal. When this happens to me, I increase the consistency (i.e. train it more times a week) and try new progressions This is usually what breaks the plateau. Hopefully that helps

I actually got front lever because of weighted pull ups with no training frontlever. Core is a very overrated aspect of the frontlever, having strong lats is the only needed factor.

Yeah, over the years I've heard 2 or 3 people say they unlocked the front lever just from weighted pull ups. Most people achieve the full front lever by going through the front lever progressions. Achieving it any other way tends to be very rare. Well done for unlocking it 💪🏽

Is weird it took me 10-11 months to get to the straddle front lever for 3-5 secs now I’m kinda stuck between 1 leg front lever and straddle sometimes on a good day I can hold a straddle front lever on my bad day I cannot hold it . From the past I can’t even hold the tuck front lever. But thanks for this video I’m looking to full front lever by summer. Btw I don’t know how I unlock the straddle back lever with no training. I was only training the human flag and front lever a lot do you think is weird I skip all the progression to try the straddle back lever ?
@AshtonFitness

That's completely normal. Calisthenics skills take a long time to learn. Some days you can hold them brilliantly, and other days you have to go back a few progressions. This is all normal. And yes, if you have a lot of strength it's possible to skip progressions altogether.

@@AshtonFitnessis so weird the only skills I learn was human flag,handstand,muscle up ,one arm push up,straddle back lever without training and straddle front lever

@@AshtonFitnessalso would you ever make a tutorial on planche ,hefesto or 1 arm pull up ?
@AshtonFitness
@AshtonFitness 7 ай бұрын
@@chriscox1535 I can't do any of those, so not yet. But when I unlock them in a few years, yes. However, I'll never make a tutorial for the hefesto. I will never learn that skill in my life. I've seen too many people tear their biceps doing it. And the worst part is the skill doesn't even look good. The risk to reward ratio is way off on that one
