This is the reason mirrors exist in gyms. Checking form, not vanity. This was a fantastic primer for any beginner and a good reminder for regulars. I always use a mirror in my garage gym for this reason. makes for good discipline and consistency. I try to exercise until my form degrades and suffers from fatigue rather than pure exhaustion. Makes for a more precise and effective workout and reduces injury.

Thank you son much I haven’t seen anyone correcting forms perfectly like u do 👍🏻👏🏻💪🏻

Thanks for making this. I hear so much in workout videos, "Keep good form," and I am looking down at myself like, "How do I know if I am doing good form? Are you going to tell me?" Then the video carries on and I am wondering the whole way through if I am doing it right.

Loved this! I was in doubt about the proper form during the deadlifts. So that was helpful If you could show how to make rear flyes next time, would be great. Thank you Heather!

Thank you for showing us the correct manner. I was a culprit of several improper moves. Specifically, I have injured my shoulders doing some of the weight exercises in phase one. Please add a video showing what muscle groups we are targeting with the popular moves in the 12 week program. Thanks for all that you do!💪🏾

I’m so grateful to Heather for making this video. I feel like a lot of people,including myself, tend to forget how important good form is, so thank you for this!

I've been working out pretty consistently for a while now with some breaks when life gets difficult. Even though I've already been taught proper form, it's always nice to review the basics if it's been a while. This video does such a good job of going over mistakes and making it easy to review and correct what people could possibly be doing wrong. Thanks Heather!

So grateful for these pro tips Heather, thank you! If possible could you do a part two to this showing the correct way to perform curtsey lunges and skier swings? I feel sometimes when I do them that I’m over rotating in my knees and I worry it’s because my form is not up to par.

Thanks Heather! This is soooo needed! I just have to say that since I've been doing your strength workouts, I can see definition in place I never have! I'm almost 40 and feeling like I'm 20. I plan to follow u for as long as you are around❤ You're doing a great job

Perfect! This is needed for any new moves you have in your videos. So many people get injured when they are not guided through moves for proper form. Then they give up because of injury. Thanks Heather!!

Thankyou! Other than waking up too early, it's become obvious why I've had a couple of bad days. I'm in week three of weightlifting for beginners after a decade of doing no resistance at all. I should have asked my personal trainer to come round with me to make sure my form was good.

Thank you! That's the problem of not talking in your videos...people who have no idea of proper form in advance will be lost. I learned the hard way. Now, before I follow anyone, I watch to make sure they have perfect form. Your form is always perfect.

When doing a strength move, try exhaling on the exertion part of the move and inhaling on the "easy" part of the move. This won't neccessarily always work depending on things like what speed you're going at, but give it a try. For example, when doing squats inhale when lowering into the squat and exhale when straightening up. Or when doing crunches, exhale when crunching up and inhale on the lowering. I hope that helps.
@teamslays50923 жыл бұрын
like when you do push-ups, the pushing motion is the exhale
