Love this video. Great tips. I’m a year away from finishing my PhD and I would add to the list: stop procrastinating the self care!! Really important to give yourself the breaks/rewards you deserve for all the hard work. Procrastination can go towards the good stuff too!! Thx again for the great vid!

I tend to procrastinate because a project feels so large and overwhelming. I beat this by breaking it down into baby steps and completing one step at a time, and using an accountability buddy to keep me on track.

Yesssss! I 100% believe in breaking things down into manageable chunks and utilizing accountability partners! That's wonderful!

Great video. I’m a 53 year-old grad student. I procrastinate due to impostor syndrome. I need to get out of my own way by keeping a structured schedule.

The professor relationships: This was actually something i realized very recently that I realized I try to avoid. So, my decision of which graduate school for my Masters (same degree program) was dependant a how much work i can realistically do as a single parent and full time employee. The program i chose not to enroll in has live weekly seminars that are required or you can write an additional paper weekly. Vs the other program more up my alley in regards to amount of coursework and what was most appealing to me to complete the required tasks. I am so excited yet slightly nervous about Grad School. But i am so excited.

This was a great pep talk as I currently procrastinate on my last final 😂 - definitely a mix of confidence/perfectionism issues. I really like the idea of making a pro's and con's list! I've thought about the what is the smallest thing I can do bit before, but I never know what those steps are unless I start to tackle the whole thing-still a work in progress. THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO!!
