Being able to record what goes on in the cockpit while I fly and watching it when I'm done has been a great learning tool for me. But figuring out how to setup the cameras to make it happen took me a while to figure out. Here is my setup for the Cirrus SR22T G6.
Equipment List
(2) Go Pro Hero 5 cameras
(2) Garmin Virb Ultra 30 cams
Go Pro remote-mostly useless I’m afraid
(4) 64 GB micro SD cards and spares
(2) Ram Mounts
(1) for Pilot cam mounted on Co-Pilot side of windshield
(1) for Ipad Mini mounted on Pilot side window-high enough so as not to interfere with
side yolk but low enough not to block view.
(2) Go Pro/Virb Adhesive mounts
(1) Go Pro Chest Cam Mount
(3) Ainope 10,000mAh Portable Chargers attached with Velcro
(2) 6” Micro Usb cables for Virb cameras to portable chargers
(1) 6” Usb cable for Go Pro to portable charger
(1) 4’ USB-C cable from passenger USB port to GoPro behind and around pilot seat
(1) Apple Ipad Mini 4 with Go Pro mobile app
(1) Apple Iphone 7 with VIRB mobile app
