How to replace cabin filter on Toyota Tundra

The Tundra cabin air filter set up is similar to the FJ Cruiser set up. So easy to do!

Heh, my dealer wanted $49 to change my RAV4's filter. And $150 to clean the throttle body... which was spotless when I looked.

I find that it helps to put a paper floor mat on the floor before removing the cabin filter in case a large quantity of leaves fall out as you remove the filter.

Last garage I went placed it upside down and we drove around for 6 mths with half the flow/cool before I found out replacing 😮 Check flow direction

Hi Peter, I think you installed the cabin filter wrong direction, arrow is indicating the AIR flow, which is arrow down 🤔???, please find out and let us know.

Just go to your local auto parts store and buy an air filter and install it yourself, do not take to a shop or dealer

Open it up and look. Could be clean could be dirty. Takes a couple minutes.

I usually check every time I change my oil. There is usually debris and you can shake/ vacuum. I would personally change the cabin air filter once a year because it’s so easy and cheap to do yourself.

Take the entire cab off the chassis. Oh wait ... that is for turbo #2 repairs. Mind you the engine will be out getting 'fixed'all at the same time. Yikes ... I am a cynic today. Sorry, but Toyota is pulling a fast one. shavings in the block. Sorry ain't buying it.

If you were to show a cabin air filter change for a 2014-2021 Tundra, well let's just say, WHY did Toyota have to change the design? I found the job very frustrating
